I laughed as I moved away from Sam who was moving closer to me. "Oh! You're so dead, roomie." Sam said as she did something with her eyes that made the coloured part go up and only the white part was visible. She looked just like people who had been possessed in horror movies.

Suddenly I became aware of the fact that my hand was still gripping his knee, and I loosened my fingers quickly to take it off. "I don't have any fears, flower. None. I am the devil. Demons, humans, dark ones, beasts, everything fears me. I fear nothing." Sam said, distracting me once again. "I don't believe you. Everybody is scared of something" I whispered, my fingers tightening on his clothed knee again. "What about spiders?" I teased with a grin.

Samantha threatened with a smirk. “Oh, Come on, you think I'm scared of death? Go on, tell them I know about Vanessa's death,” Madam Kate urged boldly. Samantha stood for a moment, panting heavily. “My eyes have seen and my ears have heard enough in this mansion! Death is the last thing I should be scared of,” she added and walked away boldly. Samantha gasped and rushed over to the bed. She tried to catch her breath as her whole body trembled with fear. The door opened and Betty rushed into the room with Anna.

Sasha’s car was in the driveway when Kate dropped me off, I rushed out and ran to the front door. ‘Avery?’ Sasha called, causing me to yell out in fear. ‘Shit, are you okay?’ he said, concern written all over his face. The front door swung open and Sam stood in the doorway wearing nothing but jeans which he had obviously thrown on in a hurry as the button, zipper and belt were undone. ‘What’s going on out here?’ he asked in an authoritative voice. ‘Sorry, I just watched a scary movie’ I confessed, ‘and Sasha startled me’ Sam eyed me suspiciously but turned on his heels and into the house again, leaving the front door open. Sasha grabbed my hand gently and led me into the house.

She then tried once again but it was just the same… last, she did try it again but still, no one is answering. “I told you, they were busy,” Samantha said. “Geez, those people. Useless.” It’s Helen. “Anyway, how are you feeling?” Helen asked as she turned her attention to Sam. “All good. But a little bit dizzy.” “Why do you have to faint—shoot I almost forgot, you hate seeing blood.” Samantha nodded; she was afraid of blood. She’s hemophobic. “Did they dispatch that thing already?” Sam asked as she was talking about the cat’s head.

One of his men scoffed with laughter. “Well, we'll check that out soon,” Henry grinned mischievously and approached her. Sam crawled away, causing him to laugh. It was fun for him to feel her fear, it was fuel to tease her. Sam trembled and tears wet her veil, she feared. Seeing that face full of evil took her back to the past, to the hell she lived through. She was in the middle of a nervous breakdown, she couldn't control the fear and helplessness. Suddenly she felt exposed, the breeze caressed her face and she knew she no longer had her veil on. She covered it with her two hands and ducked her head, her hair covered her face and part of her arms as well.
