Or something? The main character seems to be an ordinary chef or student who inherits this knife, and suddenly he's being hunted by shadowy clans who believe it holds some immense power. The plot basically revolves around him trying to survive and uncover the knife's true history while these assassins come after him.

It sounds like a very specific blend of culinary culture and brutal, almost supernatural martial arts. I haven't read it myself, but the descriptions make it seem incredibly violent and stylish, like a Korean take on a John Wick movie but with more focus on blade techniques and kitchen tools. He's the guy who gets reincarnated into the webnovel as a side character, the chef with the legendary sashimi knife skills. The story is literally about him navigating the world from his perspective, trying to change his doomed fate.

It's kind of funny because the title makes you think it's all about the knife or the cooking, but it's way more about his survival and his relationships. Haru is the male lead of the original novel plot, but the manhwa follows Jin Hyeon as he gets tangled in that plot. So yeah, protagonist = Jin Hyeon, even if he wasn't meant to be.
