Scorching Betrayal

Scorching Betrayal

"You scum! Have you no shame at all? What will it take for you to apologize for what you’ve done?" Mrs. Ainge forced Luther in front of me. Meanwhile, my father clenched his fists tightly to resist the urge to beat Luther into a pulp. He proceeded to pull away the cloth draped over my dead body. Luther reluctantly looked at the object on the table. He immediately noticed the contorted, mummified figure that reeked of the smell of burnt flesh. It was not what he expected to see. His reaction was a mix of horror and complete astonishment.

The Blood Curse

The Blood Curse

Finally, she found the one she was looking for. Layla managed to grab the book and add it to her stack in her arms when her eyes caught sight of something. A book stood out among the rest. It was bound with dark brown leather and had brandished designs on the spine. The title read - Malleus Vampiro: A Treatise on Vampires. Placing her other books on the floor, Layla pulled the leather-bound book from its home amongst the others and opened it. As her eyes skimmed the pages, she caught a couple of words; SHADOW STALKERS, BLOODSUCKER, PHANTOMS.

Becoming the Elf King's bride

Becoming the Elf King's bride

The impact hurled Hugh back toward Ludiciel, who with both hands gripping his sword, brought the hilt down, slamming Hugh into the ground with a resounding crash. Dust and debris erupted around them as Hugh’s body sank into the earth, the necromancer groaning in pain. He coughed, chanting some ancient words and his body shimmered with a sickly green light before dissolving into the soil like water into sand. “Stay alert.” Ludiciel warned, his grip on his sword tightening, his sharp eyes scanning the battlefield. "Ugh, necromancers are fucking disgusting." Talon grimaced, his nose wrinkling in revulsion as the stench of rotten corpses filled the air around them.

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

He knew I was not the Lumira whose medical records he had studied. "Dark magic is not native to this body," he said, placing his cards on the table with deliberate precision. Not playing cards. Research notes, thin and precise, covered in diagrams I couldn't read from this distance. "Necromancy at your level requires a soul that has already crossed the threshold. A soul that has died and returned, carrying the imprint of the grave. The original Lumira never died — not truly. She was murdered. There is a difference." He looked at me, and for the first time, his clinical mask cracked. Not with emotion — with hunger. The hunger of a scholar who had found the anomaly he had been searching for.

Marked by Moonlight: A Rejected Mate's Redemption

Marked by Moonlight: A Rejected Mate's Redemption

"It wasn't your fault. We'll figure this out together. We're still a pack, and we'll support each other through this darkness." “We have a bigger problem at hand, something sinister is going on", Cersei said. “This is some really powerful dark magic" “One that could evade my Clairvoyance”, Rey said. “I didn’t even think that it was possible” "This isn't just regular dark magic", Cersei begun. "Necromancy....", said Styria. The pack decided to regroup at Lucius' home to discuss the situation. They knew that Nyx was somehow behind this, but they had no idea of how they could defeat the necromancer.

The Alpha's Fateful Witch

The Alpha's Fateful Witch

The necromancer began to rapidly age before their eyes, his skin turning dry and wrinkling before peeling away from his bones until all that was left was a skeleton, which eventually toppled to the ground with a cluttering sound. Zeke and Sébastien stared in silence at the pile of bones on the ground, both of them wondering if Gilbert was really gone for good. The necromancer had the uncanny ability to resurrect himself and they couldn't help but feel cautious about his apparent death. Hearing the voices of the three women behind them, Zeke shifted back and they turned to watch them approach.

Bound To My Protector Mate

Bound To My Protector Mate

“I just need to sever the ancient evil’s hold on him.” The Necromancer chuckled, a dry, rasping sound. “Oh, young one,” he murmured, tilting his head. “You still don’t understand, do you? That kind of bond—the one between him and the ancient evil—is not simply a curse.” His grin widened. “It’s possession. It’s fate. And it does not break so easily.” Rigel gritted his teeth. “Then tell me what will.” The Necromancer’s gaze darkened. “There is a ritual,” he admitted, voice dipping into something almost reverent. “An ancient one. A forbidden one.”

Alpha's Mage

The word 'them' was almost whispered conspiratorially as if he was afraid that someone would hear them. "Them?" Xavier echoed and it was then that Erica finally started seeing the familiar blackish-brown auras around the two Elders. She swallowed back her nervousness as she tried to remember what each aura or mixture of them meant. "A black aura, which is highly rare entails dark energy. You should know that a black aura is acquired when a person has lowered himself to such low levels of treachery and vicious deeds that there is no way back, no redemption. And brown follows black, denoting selfish motives and selfish nature of that person." Elias' words came back to her, loud and clear.

I am such an idiot. I’ve had this book in my library for an entire month before I decided to give this book a try and I am full of regrets. From beginning to end, this story has been fast past but very detailed, not jeopardizing the plot. I am in love with this book and intrigued by the plot

Scaling the Tower of the Forsaken

Scaling the Tower of the Forsaken

I knew that they would leave nasty gashes if she managed to touch me, so I used the broken sword to fend off her attack. Her impossibly hard nails screeched against the surface of the sword. Normal talismans were totally ineffective against the ghost mother, leaving me no choice but to pull out the trump card that Zack had given me. The purple talisman shimmered with light. It was extremely expensive. In fact, I would easily earn tens of thousands of dollars if I sold it instead. I would definitely have to ask Ashton to reimburse me later. The ghost mother let out a bloodcurdling scream when I slapped the talisman on her stomach.
