I laughed, knowing that I had hit a sensitive spot. But then, Sophia suddenly looked up at me, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Actually, my ex-husband was a cheapskate," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "He took me to the most luxurious place he could afford... the McD*nald's drive-thru." I burst out laughing, unable to contain my amusement. Sophia's joke was hilarious, and I was impressed by her quick wit. As I laughed, Sophia smiled, looking pleased with herself. "I'm glad I could make you laugh," she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Jenny started grinning as well as Rohit, Sofia, and Kevin also. Sohu angrily pouted "Hunh, before mocking me, you should watch yourselves. Both of you had also eaten too much yesterday, the stomach of both of you looked like a 5 months pregnant woman... Blegh!" She stretched out her tongue. Sofia and Rohit started grinning while Kevin and Jenny looked at him angrily. They both shouted together "If our stomach looked like a five months pregnant woman then yesterday your stomach looked like nine months pregnant woman." Sohu stood up "Well, then both of you looked like a twelve months pregnant woman."

"Ohh.. yea.. Hassie, I have to give her a call. She has missed out on some things" "Babe, what's up". I hopped into her car as she drove towards her house. "I will tell you more. Let's get something on our way. I would love to eat something". She shook her head "you look chubby now. I bet in a week's time, you will be so fat". She said laughing while I glared at her. "Why aren't you laughing? Isn't it funny?" "It is not. You make dry jokes". "Nope, I disagree. It is not funny to you because the joke is directed to you. And you lack a bit of a sense of humor".

The room went dead quiet when I said I would take the prize, but that quiet did not last. A second later, laughter thundered through the air. Lily Smith was the loudest, doubling over with tears streaming from her eyes. "How else could she be the top seller?" she cackled. "A woman like her has to have skin as thick as a rhino." I ignored her snide comments and kept my cool. "Just to be clear," I said, "since the company so generously 'rewarded' me with bathroom duty, that's all I'll be doing for the next three days. Everything else is off my plate."

"Ms. Sampson's villa isn't home for the homeless. They're your parents, aren't they, Felix? Figures. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Ugh, I can still smell the mud on them." Rage flared within my heart, but I held it back and quickly wiped the water off my in-laws. Diane had a short fuse. She would not stand for this insult, so she snapped, "And who are you supposed to be, you uneducated swine? How dare you call Felix a homeless man!" Zack did not hold back. Instead, he pressed on the attack. He picked up a ceramic ornament and hurled it at Diane. I deflected it with my hand, and the ornament grazed me.

“Because it makes you laugh?” He clicked his tongue, a smile on his face. “You finally get it.” I rolled my eyes. “But ONLY you does it make laugh. Real jokes are so funny everyone around would burst into laughter, not them crying while you’re having a blast.” “A joke is a joke.” “…Your sense of humor is rotten,” I ended up muttering, hissing as his rough fingers tugged at the bandage wrapped around my ribs. The cloth peeled away sticky and damp, and the stench of dried blood hit my nose. I fought the urge to gag.

"You are just looking at him right now." Hana stops laughing and her smile slowly fading like it is not a funny thing she'd heard from Chen's corny mouth. She feels like, Chen is really serious the time he throwed that line. Hana thought that maybe Chen was just joking and it just a funny thing or an irony thought that can be a good line to throw for Hana. So, Hana bluffly laughs like it was very awkward for the both of them and Chen also laugh but Chen cut the fun.
