Leon panted, scanning the dim corridor as his breath came in uneven bursts. Suddenly, a faint figure emerged out of the shadows—the female ghost. Her face was blurred and indistinct, her presence otherworldly. She didn’t speak but raised a hand that glowed faintly blue, pointing silently in a specific direction. Leon froze, instinctively stepping back half a pace. But time was slipping through his fingers, and hesitation was a luxury he couldn’t afford. Clenching his jaw, he forced himself to follow the ghost’s lead.

ZEPHYR’S POV “Yes, there are two of our ghosts who are not with us now.” “Do they have names?” I asked him. “N….” He paused, rethinking his reply again. Then he said. “We go by one name, Ghost. Any other name aside this, I am unaware of it. I know it seems undutiful for me to not have this simple information but sometimes our ghosts tend to break out of character and hence get themselves into scenarios that end up leaving them with souvenirs like names, tattoos, tags.”

Seras takes one look at me and her eyes go full orange. Seras: “Who do I need to burn?” Celeste (hoarse laugh): “Myself, apparently.” Kayo’s tails flicker visible for half a second. I shrug at Ghost as the Collector snaps up at him. “What group am I?” I ask Ghost; he doesn’t look back at the computer, which means he’s already looked for the information. I can’t say I blame him; I’d want every bit of information I can get if I were travelling with someone like me. "E," Ghost says flatly. “What the fuck is group E and why is Elle in it?” Ghost snarls down at him; his eyes change to a flat red colour, making him look like a demon, when he looks at me, his eyes have returned to normal. I wonder if his eyes going red are like when Gideon’s turn yellow.

Barney shrugged his shoulders. Each piece fit together. One after another. I looked back toward Barney. “If Ghost wanted to disappear…” I paused for a minute and looked back at my screen. “He’d need someone capable of making that happen. Someone with resources. Money. Connections.” I looked back at the photograph. “Someone like Viktor Sokolov.” Barney slowly nodded. “It explains why Ghost disappeared inside Draven’s palace.” “It also explains why nobody has been able to identify him.” I said matter of factly. The more I looked at the picture… The more convinced I became. I finally pushed my chair back from the desk. “I want everything.”

Hectic blinks. “Well, hello—” “I’d move back a bit if I were you,” Ghost says, his voice low, steady, and far too calm to be casual.

It was a girl just around seventeen, her expression frozen eternally in death after Ghost chewed through her throat. Seeing that she was not getting away, Skyler decided to talk and try to buy time.
