Their movements were eerily synchronized, almost as if they were one being, connected by a single will. Then, from the center of the swarm, a figure emerged. Taller than any human, cloaked in living shadow, eyes burning with red light that cut through the night. The aura radiated ancient power, far beyond the Overlord, far beyond Ryker.

“It’s about alignment.” One of the representatives frowned. “With what?” Ellison looked up. “With whatever existed before Argent.” At the hotel suite, Leah had already mapped most of the reallocation flows. A dark, malicious chuckle rippled from his chest, causing fresh tears of absolute terror to spill over my tightly closed eyelids. "Let me go..." I whimpered, my voice entirely devoid of strength.
