Chapter 219: The Search Damon's POV Dawn broke over the destroyed temple like an ugly wound splitting open, bleeding red and gold across a sky that had no right to be beautiful. Not today. Not when half my soul lay buried somewhere in the rubble below. I stood at the crater's edge, staring down into the darkness that had swallowed my mate. The hole was massive… easily fifty feet across and gods knew how deep it went. Smoke still rose from its depths, carrying the smell of burned stone and scorched earth and something else. Something disturbing that made my wolf howl in anguish.

Dawn of the Hunt (Vera's POV) I stood in Starfang’s courtyard, the sunrise painting the sky gold. The united shards glowed in my hands, my necklace steady. The pack cheered, their voices rising. My heart swelled—victory at last. “We did it!” I shouted, raising the shards high. Eleanor rushed over, her silver eyes wet. She hugged me tight, her voice breaking. “I was wrong,” she whispered. I froze, then hugged back, tears prickling. “It’s okay,” I murmured, the rift healing. I was scared that she will never see the light, but it seems there was nothing to be worried about.

She held it out to me like a fragile treasure. “Look, it’s our engagement bracelet! I had it fixed! “It’s gold inlaid with jade—gold and jade together, a perfect pairing just like us. We’re meant to be, Evan. I can’t lose you!” I took the bracelet, then hurled it to the floor. The jade shattered again, breaking into even smaller pieces than before. Rosie knelt down, desperately trying to piece everything back together, but no matter how she tried to match up the fragments, they would not fit together.

Threshold Of Shadows Kale’s POV The dawn broke slowly over the kingdom, gray and fragile like a promise half-kept. Mist clung to the hills, curling around stone towers and silver-leaved trees, softening the harsh edges of the battlefield from yesterday. Yet despite the calm morning, a storm lingered in my chest that no sunrise could dispel.

I was in so much shock I didn't know what to do I picked up the child and ran while trying to wake him up before the darkness consumes us both... Then I stopped and looked back... Now The valley was filled with both dead bodies and injured people crying for help... What am I doing... I should help this people, but I can't... I can't go up against a storm... I don't have any powers to... I fell on my knees crying my eyes out... I didn't have an answer to this... I looked up again and Mr Jonathan's book fell in front of me...
