Chapter 1. THEA Smile at the cameras, pose for the pictures, pretend for the media, keep the family's reputation safe- The only words which ever left my mother's mouth since I had been born. My mother was hell bent on keeping the family reputation perfect for her own selfish reasons. Pretend like we were the happy family the whole world thought us to be- only, we were far from being perfect.

How I feel when I look at him is likely how everyone feels. "He's Lust,” Cian mutters drily. "How much of your personality is actually based off...You know that?" I shift uncomfortably on the couch, preparing myself for his answer. If he truly is the epitome of greed, then I should be terrified, although I’m aware that if he admits he is, it’s not going to change anything. "Enough of it that it becomes annoying,” he sighs, fiddling with the cuff of his shirt. “There is a lot we Sin’s can do, however, to separate ourselves from our true nature, though.”

That he might break my heart if he got the chance so I wanted to distance myself from him. I could not give him the chance to break the walls around my heart. I really hoped he would stop doing whatever it was that he was doing and ignore me or hate me altogether like everyone else. I couldn’t for the love of god figure out what it was that pulled me to him like a moth to a flame , it was not just his good looks but the pain behind his smiling eyes which was almost similar to mine but not quiet. He thought he was hiding it well from everyone but I could tell just like I could tell that there was evil in my parents.

I started as made my way down the cobblestone stairs, to the dimly lit basement. "Boss," They both said simultaneously. It's hard to tell them apart, from their chocolate-colored hair to their hazel eyes. The only difference between them is the subtle scar on Angello's chin and a scar below Alessio's left eye. "Has our little birdie sung yet?" I asked looking over to the beaten man tied to a wooden chair while I popped a few sunflower seeds in my mouth. "Not yet, boss, he maintains his innocence." Angello chuckled as he walked over to the sink to wash the blood off of his hands.

"Sins?" "Yeah. You haven't realized yet? The daemons who escaped tartarus are the embodiments of pride, greed, sloth, lust, wrath, gluttony, and envy,” he answered as he took his jacket. “The seven deadly sins," he continued as he shut the door behind him.

And there she was. Amanda sat at the top of the kitchen Island, swinging legs in the air, licking vanilla ice cream from the tub. She wore one of my old T-shirts, oversized on her but not oversized enough. The hem covered barely the top of her thighs. Bare skin. No panties. Nothing underneath. She glanced up and smiled,slow and aware. Then dragged the spoon across her tongue again. “Couldn’t sleep?” I questioned in a rough voice - unintentional. “Late night cravings.” She responded, her eyes wandering on my body, from my bare chest down to the waistband of my pajama pants, again and back up. “You should walk around more like this Uncle Xavier.”

It was quiet and peaceful, opposite from what was going inside me. Kimberly was naked ,laid on her back ,the only thing that was covering her was a thin sheet from the lower back till her feet. Her skin was as white as snow and the only colour left on her body were the marks of strikes, deep red and brown colour lines left a cruel decoration on her back.
