Each time I sneezed, it was a quiet, high-pitched sound, and I made sure no mucus escaped.
Hayden raised an eyebrow at me, wordlessly asking if I was okay, and I nodded, leaning my head against the armrest, resisting the urge to curl up into a ball.
"I'll end the session since Chloe is obviously sick," the therapist declared, and I didn't bother responding.
"Come on," Hayden said, standing up and reaching out his hand for me to take. I accepted, and he effortlessly pulled me up.
Weakly, I followed him outside, where the rain had stopped. I always seemed to get sick quickly, and my symptoms would usually kick in within an hour.
