"Guys look!" The two rippling glowed with faint light. But it wasn't just that. Beneath the water, two figures emerged, their glowing white eyes locked onto the crew. "Mermaids," Theo whispered. The sea calmed immediately as one of the creatures launched herself from the water, landing gracefully on the rocks. Her hair flowed in thick lavender waves, adorned with pastel shells. Her ears curled like snail shells, and her emerald green tail shimmered with flecks of purple as she slammed it against the rocks, cracking a chunk off into the sea.

"I would love to see you try, bro." What was that scent? I brought my nose close to Phoenix, going on my tiptoes, took a long sniff and sighed. "You smell nice." His face went red. I had no idea why. "Uh...Okay. Thanks, I guess." Alec cleared his throat. "In all seriousness, we were just talking about mermaids. I'm so fascinated by mythical creatures. Did you know that more than eighty percent of the world's oceans have been undiscovered? Imagine if they did some serious underwater researches, they may come across merfolks. Who knows there are probably some beautiful mermaids down there. Blue could totally look like one."

"Can't I come? There might be some creatures who'd—" "Just beware of the mermaids. Some of them are quite feisty. Don't ever step back to the water and if you hear a melodic song, cover your ears." Before Amorivia could hold the lost boy's hand, he flew away and now she's alone. Scared of what the lost boy told her about the mermaids. Her conception of these mythical creatures are all wrong, she thought they were nice. Amorivia sighed and laid down the sand. "It's such a tiring day," she murmurs. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

Ariel laughed a little. "Alright momma, let's go inside." Ariel and Mrs. Smith walked inside and was greeted by all her friends and family. "Happy birthday, Ariel!" Everyone yelled, making Ariel smile. "Thank you everyone! I'll be right back. Let me just go put this lava lamp up." Ariel ran to her room and plugged the lava lamp up; it has vibrant blue goo flowing around and Ariel's eyes couldn't help, but brighten up at the sight. "See? I told everyone you'd work just fine." Ariel said before she got up and ran back downstairs to her party.

Milen yanked the drooling midget to himself. "This be the daughters of Poseidon." "What?" "They are freaking Sirens!" He screamed at Milen's unintelligible questions. "Mermaids!" The stuffed the slim corks into his ears, and turned to address his already awe stricken crew. "Use whatever thou can find to clog thy ears..." He shouted as loud as he could, but some didn't seem to have heard, they were lost in the symphony of glorious music from the fish women. "And no matter what ye do, never ye sing along."

They seem to be talking but we can't hear anything! "They're attacked." Pearl's voice echoed. "Three mermaids, yellow, blue, and green." After saying that, there was only one thing on my mind. The Aqua Siren! I can't think of any other creature that could do this. How can I tell them what I know? If only it could be written. How to signal the Aqua Siren? Pest! It's so hard! "Baby, can you talk to Gen and see if they can do something so we can all talk?" I'm talking here.

If they are true I wish I had a better memory, so I can go back and discover the secrets they all hold. The mermaids take me deep within the Earth. The water pressure is almost intolerable the further down we get. I'm still not used to the water pressure in my ears. One of those sirens speaks words I've never heard before and puts its hand over my ears and the migraine goes away.

"If ever you wish to return the box," Mermaid continued, "cast it into this river, and it will return to Underland. But if you wish to speak to me, the music must cease. One day it might arouse suspicion. Instead, have your mother carve me into a life-sized sculpture. If you touch it, I will come." Amber blinked. "But I could never describe you perfectly." Mermaid smiled. She placed her palm across Amber's chest. When she drew it back, an image of herself shimmered on Amber's blouse. Amber gasped-it was beautiful, flawle

Reese assured her. “I can go get your granddaughter.” Jaxon offered with a smile. “Her and the triplets share a birthday.” “Angela?” Helen asked with happy tears. “We changed it to Ariel.” Her oldest son grinned as he pulled out his phone and opened the gallery app. Handing over the phone, he slid up on the bed with his mom. “From what the doctor was telling us, oh, it’s called a mermaid birth.” He blushed a little as she scrolled through the pictures and then watched the video. “It only happens once in about eighty-thousand births or so. It’s really freaking rare.”

The word hung in the air like ash and flame. "Most of our records conflate the Siren with the Mermaid," the scientist continued, his tone clinical and detached. "It is a common error of the uninitiated. To understand the difference, one must look at the natural world. Think of the Mermaid as an alligator - a localized predator, efficient but limited. The Siren, however, is the saltwater crocodile. Larger, more aggressive, and possessing an impossible strength and kinetic energy that transcends the aquatic domain. While Mermaids lure to drown, Sirens command the very frequency of the original night."
