My head immediately whipped to Ava, who averted her eyes from me as soon as the realization struck me to the core. I darted towards her, my jaw clenching tightly as I stared down at the single word engraved on her back. “Whore,” Amy whispered, and there’s only one person I know is vile enough to do something like this. “That sick, twisted bitch,” Amy cursed, her own wrath flashing in her brown eyes as she moved like she was about to shift into her wolf.

Amy was behind the wheel. “Yeah yeah yeah,” BC groaned as he unfastened his jeans. “At least I'm alive.” Amy joined the duo looking at the valley. “Shit, now I miss home.” Amy was married to a human and had a life in Texas. She had been asked to join the pack in Kentucky to set up the security around the house the pack was renting.

It sounded bad, so I did exactly what she instructed. “Why the fuck don’t you look at your phone anymore?” Amy answered angrily, the sound of music in the club still playing even though it had to be 2am on that side of the world. “Sorry, Amz,” I said guiltily. “I could have been eaten by a were-lion or something, and you wouldn’t even know,” she grumbled and I bit back a laugh. “Were-lions don’t exist,” I replied with a chuckle only to have her snort back in response.

She smiles at me before saying, “Hi, my name is Amy; this is my first day” I look at Grayson, “I thought you didn't have a pup, uncle Grayson.” Amy looks at me. She is trying not to cry; Grayson cuddles her, “Rogues killed Amy’s family Layla, Emily, and I are her new parents.” I feel so bad, and I know what it feels like not to have my real mum looking after me, “Come with me, Amy. I will look after you.”

I nodded slowly. “That’s… that’s the rogue alpha,” Amy said, her voice trembling. I frowned, confused. “Rogue alpha?” I repeated. Amy’s eyes darted around the room, as if she was afraid someone might overhear us. She leaned closer, lowering her voice to a whisper. “It’s… it’s a werewolf,” she said.
