Love or Live

Spikes admiring it, a large bird, perhaps, an hawk flew off a broken window beautifully and swooped down towards us, flying in at full speed. Mr. Spikes eyes were greener than ever as he stood, his neck, longer and tilted up, watching the wonderful bird entertain us. The bird got closer and closer, its shadow, right at my front - smaller but darker, I thought its eyes were locked in with mine. When I was becoming quite worried that it was heading for one of us, it flipped its wings to another angle and stirred away from us with a chirrup. A look of worry raided Mr. Spikes face at once and he started shouting, waving after the bird. "Birdy, come 'ere!", He kept quiet then went off again, loud

Reborn at the end of time

Reborn at the end of time

Since the bird was in a trance, it did what was asked before it let out a shrill cry and burnt to ashes. That was the speciality of the bird. They are loyal powerful birds often used for spying and one needs to ask them to tell their secret willingly which is impossible because they kill you immediately once you ask the question but if you're successful, they die immediately while their dying cries are only heard by their master and the killer. The one thing people normally forget is that they come in pairs but by killing one, the other too is already damaged. Gwen misted again and found the second bird near to collapsing who was spying on her aunts.

The Songbird

The Songbird

the golden man said. “Yeah right.” She said as she walked away and as she turned back, she saw he had disappeared. She was left alone on the plane of nothingness with her thoughts. She drew in the dirt a simple circle which she drew some fancy little designs and what seemed to be a mirror appeared in the earth. She realized it wasn’t a mirror but a window of sorts. She gazed into it, and she could see the creatures she had seen before coming through the gates at sunset. She drew another symbol in the dirt, and she could now hear the voices.

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

Despite the poor illumination provided by the candle, the detailed features of the birds could be seen from all dimensions. Wait, Zita raised her candle, and its light created a little distinct feature on the image. What bird wears a sword on their waist and girdle and shoes? ‘This was no bird,’ she concluded as they came even closer to the image. They looked more like men who had wings strapped on their backs like eagles but have swords and armors. Zita’s frowned deepened as she felt all the stories that her mother had told her were false. How could her mother mistake men with wings as birds?

Raven the lurker
I have gotten used to read female lead stories from her so this time when it is male lead it's quite a refreshing and interesting change up. The start is promising and very well written and it's not the typical type of a novel so give it a chance as this author never ceases from surprising you.
Anthony .O. Godwin

A Sorceress Struggle

A Sorceress Struggle

, they are more useful for spying and Intel gathering on others without being found out, say hello to one of the creatures that made many patients follow a therapy to get over their excessive fear over these small creatures called “Spiders” These little creatures are so useful, ever since I got this idea; spying and Intel gathering became a child’s game! And through the familiar interface of the system, I can easily manage them and control them just like how you can control a drone from a distance, so I have been secretly spreading them to the people I need to keep an eye on… I have just sent before going out a few spiders carried on the back of the birds flock straight towards the imperial

The Accused Mate

The Accused Mate

POV: The Raven (The Mother's Spy) I dodged the arrow that whistled past my wing feathers. Too close! The dog guard below had good aim, but not good enough. I circled higher, my black wings catching the afternoon sunshine. Being a raven had its perks. No one ever accuses a bird of spying. I've watched these wolves for months now, sitting on windowsills, perching on tree branches, listening to every secret, every plan. And my true boss, The Mother, was pleased with what I'd learned.

The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General

The bird scrutinized James from head to toe and murmured, “Indeed, you’re pretty strong. However, you should do the research yourself. This is a secret taboo to unearth. I cannot say more than that, or else I’ll be in deep trouble.” The bird bluffed non-stop. In truth, it knew nothing at all. However, in front of a human, it could not reveal its ignorance. “Are you a Gorger? What’s the relationship between you and the Gorger in the Twelfth Universe?” James looked at the bird. At that moment, the bird chirped a few times before flapping its wings and disappearing from James’ view. James froze. By the time he collected himself, a primordial power had surfaced, shaking the earth in the process.

This end is terrible. I strongly believe there is a volume 2 or part 2. I refuse to be left hanging and thinking of a million ways the whole thing played out. Patiently waiting for volume 2............

My Mecha Is A Tad Overpowered

My Mecha Is A Tad Overpowered

It was only when he landed, causing the ground to shake, that people snapped back to reality. "An Epic Source Crystal, not bad," Victor remarked, extracting the crystal from the bird's corpse. Source Crystals dropped by mechanical creatures were definitely inferior to initial Source Crystals. Still, Victor was pleased to have obtained an Epic-grade one. "Forget about the birds for now, look for the spies first," Victor reminded everyone. The chaos wasn't over yet. The real cause of the chaos was the hidden spies. Without the Monarch-rank mechanical bird's command, the other birds would soon scatter.

Steamy Fairytales Collection: An 18+ Dark Fairytales Series

“What is a Dena bird, and why are we worried about it?” “A Dena bird my dear is a spy for the Queen of Cards, they fly over their target and report back to the Queen what they find.” “That bird wouldn’t fly to just anywhere, unless it knows where to look,” the Hatter said “She knows we are here, it is only a matter of time.” Haziel's eyes were a sad purple as he spoke. I had seen his eyes change to this colour when he spoke of his village.
