Stephen King The Library Policeman Novels & Stories

I’d picked up a few new Stephen King novels last month at the used book sale at Bassler Memorial Library, so I figured on starting one of them. So I was surprised to find myself sitting up in my chair, blinking as if coming out of a long sleep, with The Way open in my lap, reading about “invoking the spirit of Ah-Tzenul through the nourishment of the sow’s blood.” I sat there and stared at The Way, wondering how the hell I’d gone and read it when I’d wanted to read something else. Also, how could I sit there for a whole hour and a half reading without remembering what I’d read!

He looked relaxed, laid-back in a way I hadn’t seen him before now. “Okay, what about books?” he asked. “My turn again.” “Oh, that’s a tough one.” I furrowed my brow. As a librarian, it was difficult to come close to narrowing it down to one or even ten. “I don’t know. But I’ll always love Stephen King.” “Right.” He nodded.

“Psychological studies mostly.” His smile fades slightly. “Fiction?” “Oh. Right.” I clear my throat. “Yes. Fiction too.” “Favourite novel?” Why was this suddenly feeling like an oral exam? I panic and blurt out the first thing that comes to mind. “Gone Girl.” The interviewer goes silent and just stares at me. Then he finally says. “Interesting choice for a library focused on family and community engagement.” Right. What I mentioned was an erotic murder thriller. Terrible choice for the family and community.

The castle has been breathing tensely for three days. Since Harvey neutralized the NYPD investigation with that terrifying display of power, the library has become the headquarters of an alliance no one wants but everyone knows is necessary. They are going in direction of my dorm "wait is something wrong ?" I hasten my pact,on getting to the dorm,I saw everywhere crowded now am having a bad feeling I just hope all is well "Gosh she was murdered cold blooded," "wait murdered? Who was murdered?" I asked one of the people "it someone from room 39" "what? I hope it not Cherry" "Who's Miss Matilda Frances" one of the policemen asked "here" I replied "you are under arrest for the murder of Benita Gabriel" "wait what? I just become a murder.....

I responded. "I am happy to know the police authorities are working hard on this. The killings have been random these days. I mean just a few days ago, a senior colleague was brutally injured by this monster," the lady explained. The woman extended her hand. "Pardon my manners, Officer. I am Dr. Steph Williams. I specialize in folklore and myths. Perhaps I can be of assistance?" I shook her hand gratefully. "I am Officer Ralph. Any help would be much appreciated." Dr. Steph took a seat beside me, and we delved into a deep conversation about werewolf legends and historical accounts of similar creatures.
