The scent of aged parchment and the whispering of forgotten words beckoned me forth, as I embarked on a quest to unearth the hidden truths surrounding the existence of werewolves within our city. And somehow we persuade Tommy. "Wait here," he said. After a while, he returned. He put on a jacket. In his hands is a bunch of keys. The key turns in the main building's lock. Lights are on in the entrance hall. We follow Tommy down the hall to the library, footsteps striking ghostly against the walls. It's the right setting for a murder. Tommy unlocks the library door and turns on the light. The smell of the books is overwhelming when we walk in. "There," Tommy said as he took his key out of the door. "I don't want to hear that you guys dried off in here. Come on tell me I'm done so I can close." He disappeared down the hall again, back to his apartment.

(Kendall's POV ) "What have I gotten myself into?" I muttered under my breath as I fidgeted at the sight of the policeman. At first, I thought Stephen was joking about his last statement but it turned out that he wasn't. "Just three seconds," he reiterated and smirked and he raised three fingers to show that he really meant it. Averting my eyeballs from him to the policemen who looked as though they were predators ready to hunt down their prey. "Good morning sir. Where is the thief?" asked the eldest policeman with a protruding belly and silence answered me.

"Now now Smith, do you not know that denial is the worst form of truth?" This time I was the one scowling. . . "I'm Colton Hastings, Andrew Hastings son. My dad had lent some books to Mr. Raul Aita and we were hoping you'd let us take them back." The fat policeman looked up from the hot dog he was eating. He wiped his mouth on an already dirty tissue and nodded, seeming completely disinterested. "Give the book names to Pete." He pointed to a young policeman who was inspecting the car garage. "He'll go in and get those books for you."

The guards are predictable at this hour half-alert or half-bored, their routines ingrained and easy to avoid if you know them well enough. And I do. Tonight, I don’t want questions I wants to get answers myself. I move towards the library and pushed open the heavy wooden door to the library. It creaks softly. I freeze and wait to listen for footsteps. No footsteps. Great. I slip inside, closing the door behind me with careful precision. The library is vast, dimly lit by a few dying candles and the faint silver glow of moonlight filtering through tall windows. Dust clings to everything—the shelves, the tables, the forgotten corners where knowledge has been left to decay.

I muttered, but I let him guide me toward the library exit. "I'm desperate," he corrected. "There's a difference." Walking past the front desk caught the attention of the librarian, an ancient woman named Mrs. Higgins who usually ignored everyone, and her eyes darted from Kyle to me before her eyebrows shot up so high they disappeared into her hairline. "Night, Mrs. H," Kyle said charmingly. She didn't answer but just watched us leave with her mouth hanging slightly open. "See?" I whispered as we pushed through the glass doors into the cool night air. "She’s confused. And she’s seen everything. She once saw a guy try to microwave a stapler."

the old man asked, sweeping his hands over the two desks. After taking their seats, the old man introduced himself as Library Master Buckins, before pushing his glasses back up his nose and proceeded to tell them information about the library, who built it, how many books currently reside on its shelves, soon an hour had gone by and Master Buckins was still telling stories about the library, Rex felt his eye lids getting heavy. “Rex, wake up, want to sneak off and go look at the beast market? I heard they have some rare catches today” Lacey whispered, nudging Rex.

And years later, I came into her life and made everything even worse for her. We followed Alpha King until we stopped outside his personal library. “Come in. Yeah, but don’t judge this old man. I do my investigations the traditional way, the technologies and all are just not my cup of tea,” he said. I instantly understood what he was talking about as soon as we entered the library.

I moved back to my seat but something happened to the book i was reading, I didn't find it the way i left it , it was misplaced. I opened the page i was reading and i found out a note saying that "I'm coming after you", the note made me more scared than i have never been. "Who is coming after me?" I wondered. I left the book where i took it and i started going out of the library. Just as i was going out, another new librarian stopped me but he was not Mr Franklin, Franklin's shift was over. Hold on right there kid, i just saw you getting out very soon but i didn't see you getting in here again, how did that happen?" The librarian asked, his eyes curiosly studying me like I was carrying a bom
