Summer Reads Novels & Stories

TRIGGER WARNING: SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THIS CHAPTER Juniper Summer was always my favorite season. Some people complained summer is too hot, or too humid, but I loved the feel of the sun shining down on me, loved being able to spend my entire day hanging out in and around the stream, and loved having an ice-cold lemonade at the hottest part of the day. While it was technically not summer yet — the solstice was still several weeks away — the temperature was hot enough for me to claim it was summer.

She snuggled her face against my neck "I love you, babe." And this is the finale because you already know what we did that summer. -Fin

"O-Of course. We're friends." Satisfied with my response, Bethany finally let go of my arm and followed me inside. I opened the door, but the office was pitch-black. "Dad, these are the friends I mentioned, the ones coming to work here for the summer," I said cautiously. Before I could introduce them, they pushed past me and crowded into the room. "Hello, Mr. Parker. We're here for the summer jobs. May I know what the pay is like? Is ten thousand dollars a month okay? Oh, and I'm not really into factory work. Can I get an office job instead?"

Summer, it’s like my favorite of all the seasons but at the same time I hate it. I woke up late, smiling as I stretch my arms. Alright! No more school. I walk inside the bathroom and took a very long bath. After an hour, I walk inside the closet and found a white shirt and dark wash jeans. I blow dry my hair and went out of the closet and to my room to get my purse. I'm going go out today and have some ice cream. A tradition I have always done when summer starts I went down the stairs looking for mom and dad when Krista pop her head out from the kitchen saying that mom and dad went out so early and that she doesn't know where did they go.

The head of the orphanage found me in the middle of the scorching summer, which was why he named me Theros Sommar. When Daisy learned of it, she then said that moving forward, the summer solstice every year would be my birthday. She then prepared birthday gifts for me and even baked a birthday cake for me to celebrate. Ever since my gastric bleeding the other day, she had forbidden me from drinking again. But the mood back then had been just right, so I pestered her until she gave in and allowed me to drink some red wine. One thing led to another, and that night, she finally gave herself wholly to me.

"Adrian, where are you going? Everyone else has already agreed to work at my father's factory this summer. You're the only one who hasn't answered yet." I yanked my arm out of his grip and replied coldly, "I'm not going. I still have other things to do!" My childhood friend, Natania Sutton, stood beside him with her arms crossed. In a displeased tone, she snapped, "Don't you love your parents at all? They worked hard so that you could get an education, so why aren't you jumping at this chance to earn some money to repay them?" Curling my hands into fists, I said, "Before sitting for our SATs, I borrowed some money from someone on the Internet, so I have to go to Carula to repay my debt this

“And that's how you get the job done, Sum.” Summer looked at me. “We should form an acapella group,” she said, going serious. “You're really good with the whole high pitching thing.” I chuckled. “Focus on your babysitting skills first, Sum. Then we'll talk.” She chuckled. “You know, I think you're going to be a great mom someday,” she said, patting my back. “Don't ask. I just know it. And I'm never wrong about these things.” I smiled down at Charlotte who was having a saliva party.

Summer smiled at her as she placed something in her palm. She just shook her head when she saw the baby pink and sky blue mini cutie socks in her hand. Summer Alley Mendoza: She is one of her best friends. Beautiful, sexy, joker, and very playful. She's an HRM Graduate with excellent awards. Sum is really good at cooking. She's also their head and she's managing their exclusive Hotel Gathering and Restaurant. "Hi, Queen Bee. Welcome back to our Malditah's Company." Roxy also winked at her while giving PT. As in a kit of Pregnancy Tests. Suddenly, she blushed at the embarrassment.

“That’s partnership. You need to be there for your film. We’ll make the logistics work.” The idea was both appealing and terrifying. Having her family present versus managing children at a professional event. Support versus complication. “Let me see which festivals we get into first. Then we decide logistics.” That afternoon, Charlotte came home from pre-K with information about summer camp options. The school offered a summer program three weeks in July, half-day structure, enrichment activities. “Can I go to summer camp? PLEASE? Sophie is going and Emma and Zoe and EVERYONE!” Charlotte was enthusiastic. “They do ART and SCIENCE and WATER PLAY!”

Gabriel always distracts me as he pulls me into his arms and my darling Lunar escapes the conversation. Summer, on the other hand, planned for her mating ceremony from the moment she could walk. Everything was planned to the last detail before she even turned sixteen. Summer has a thick file that contains everything she wants for the day, and it is literally growing by the day. “You do realize that this is not going to be a human wedding, my dear?” I sigh each time she shows me what else she found. Summer would just roll her eyes at me, and continue. All Gabriel has to say about our daughter’s flights of fancy is that she has to remember we aren’t billionaires.
