Burden of Blood

Burden of Blood

My sister-in-law, Maeve Cohen, floored my luxury car and blew past traffic at about 125 mph, killing a family of three. She pretended to be me and acted as if nothing could touch her. "Those idiots walked into my path! It's not my fault they got hit!" she snapped. "I'm the Lincoln Enterprise heiress. Even if I ran, who would dare catch me?" In my last life, Maeve said her husband wasn't home and she needed a car to visit her parents, so she borrowed mine. She ended up racing down the road, plowing into a family crossing the street, and driving back over them to make sure they were dead. The couple had just bought a house. The baby was only a month old. When the victims' family demanded an explanation, she hid behind my reputation and spat venom. "They're just three worthless people! I'm the Lincoln Enterprise heiress; why should I explain myself? Tell them to come to me for funeral expenses!" The grieving family couldn't take it and came to my in-laws' place. "Three worthless people, huh? Today, we'll end you so you can apologize to them in person!" My husband had died the year before. With no one to protect me, the victims' family turned on me, and I was stabbed to death. The valuable wedding gifts my family had given to me became Maeve's overnight. My family tried to appeal for me, but trolls who hated the rich maliciously reported tax problems about my father's company. My father was driven to exhaustion. One night, he fell asleep at the wheel, and the car plunged off a cliff, killing him. Only after I died did I discover it had all been Maeve's plan to ruin us out of spite. Then I opened my eyes. I was back on the day Maeve took my car and ran into those people.

(Not) My Husband: Still The Father Of Our Children

(Not) My Husband: Still The Father Of Our Children

He wasn’t searching for love. He wasn’t ready for him. But some things—like family, and falling—happen when you least expect them. When Ezra Anderson's sister dies, he inherits three young children and a crumbling rural property he's nowhere near prepared for. Overwhelmed, heartbroken, and freshly dumped, Ezra turns to the one person he shouldn't: Sebastian Brown—the gentle, steady Omega child psychologist he once shared one reckless night with... and never dared to call back. Sebastian offers a safe harbor. Routine. Warm hands and a softer kind of strength Ezra didn’t know he craved. What starts as survival—two men building a life for three grieving kids—soon strains under the weight of something deeper. The Omega in Sebastian draws Ezra like gravity, making every glance burn and every touch linger. The lines between family and something more blur until Ezra can no longer pretend. One night becomes two. Secrets slip into routines. And somewhere between sneaking into beds at night and morning coffee, Ezra faces the one truth he swore he'd never have to: He might not be as straight, or as strong, as he thought. As his Alpha instincts pull him closer to Sebastian’s Omega warmth, the world outside keeps pressing in. Desire stops hiding. And when the outside world comes knocking, Ezra is forced to choose: Keep pretending... or hold on to the only thing that feels like home. SNEAK PEEK: “I’m not in love with you. I just… don’t know how to breathe when you’re not there.” - Ezra “I’m not gay. I’m just yours.” - Ezra “You keep saying you’re not mine… but you keep choosing me.” - Sebastian “You’re allowed to love me, you know.” - Sebastian NB: 18+ (Tissues highly recommended.)

Love this book. Wish Knox would come clean to her and see she was depressed over thinking her baby died and it was her fault! He only made her worse by lying to her and letting her friend lie to her. He’s the worst type of abuser! She need to tell her boy toy to go away he’s not really helping her

Because I Once Saw the Light

Because I Once Saw the Light

It was raining very heavily on the day my parents got divorced. There are two copies of the agreements on the table. One declares that the signee will stay with Dad, who's a gambling addict and has already racked up a huge debt, in the old town. The other declares that the signee will follow Mom, who will marry a rich businessman, and move to a coastal town. In the previous life, my younger sister, Tamara Browning, kicked up a fuss because she wanted to stay with Mom. So, I packed up my luggage quietly and went with Dad. Soon after, Dad quit gambling and received the compensation due to our house being demolished in a governmental project. Since then, he showered me with love and affection. Meanwhile, Tamara wasn't allowed to even leave the house. On top of that, she was neglected by everyone, so she died from depression. Now that we're given a second chance in life, Tamara snatches the cigarette out of Dad's fingers before hugging him, refusing to let him go at all. "Tiana, my heart aches for Dad's situation. You should live a good life with Mom. I'll give that chance to you." I deign to say anything at all. Instead, I just pick up the train ticket that'll take me to the coastal town. But what Tamara doesn't know is the reason behind Dad's decision to quit gambling in the previous life. At that time, I had overexhausted myself from paying off his debt, and I began vomiting blood due to my brain cancer. I practically had to risk my life just to get him to quit gambling once and for all.

" What about her?" His inquire came out softly and lazy. Ayla's eyes suddenly contracted fiercely and rolled to her brain! She thought she might collapse any moment from now! No! She can't be known! Her identity can't be revealed! The senior nun must not reveal my identity! " Errr......that's Ayla, the wolfslayer's daughter." Damn! The atmosphere dropped to a freezing point and Alpha Darius felt his lips twitched for a second. He looked back at the senior nun, snapping his brows coldly and back at Ayla, whose legs was already trembling violently. " You mean Morgan and Arnold's daughter?" He hissed, finding it hard to believe. " Yes." The senior nun replied. " We found her not too long when her father was set ablaze." Darius unexpectedly chuckled dryly, and his eyes lowered. " The slayer's daughter hun?" He approached Ayla even closer, gazing at her keenly like she was his prey and he lifted her chin, allowing her nervous dim eyes to met his. " Then, I guess my bride is in front of me." ****** A war was coming and it is predicted there might be no survivors. With this, Darius, a heartless, dangerous and crazy Alpha king of the Crimson moon, who was feared by all, set to get a bride who would give him an heir. Their pack was cursed, making it impossible. Security Question: My Only Love Is You

Security Question: My Only Love Is You

After getting tormented by electrical shocks for five years, I've contracted severe brain atrophy. Once the psychiatric hospital kicks me out, I rely on the posts that are recorded in my old Facebook account in order to survive. Rosalie Vaughn, my childhood friend and former girlfriend who has sworn to torture me till I die, takes her rich fiance, Sebastian Crowe, back to the old, rundown complex. The moment she sees me curling up on the moldy couch while clutching my phone tightly, she lets out a scoff. "Oh? Now that you've escaped from the hospital, are you still waiting for some rich woman's text? Weren't you very quick and decisive when you stole my life-saving money back then? Why are you still pretending to be some devoted man?" As soon as Rosalie's voice falls, she snatches my phone from my hands. After keying in the wrong password three times in a row, she chooses to recover my password. The moment she sees the security question, her mocking expression freezes momentarily. The question shows, "Who's the only one I've loved in this life?" I blink hazily, my eyes cloudy and dull. Then, I tug at Rosalie's sleeve. "Miss, do you know who she is? I remember I used to love someone with all my heart, but I think she locked me up in a psychiatric hospital." After that, I turn around and try to scavenge the trash can for a piece of expired bread just so I can offer it to the "nice lady".

Kaden

Kaden

Kaden - From the moment I saw her in the club, I knew she was mine. Everly the name is ingrained in my brain and in my heart. I, Kaden Richards, might be one of the four richest men in the Savannah area meaning I can have whatever I want whenever I want it, but she is proving hard to win. Everly with her red hair and bright baby blue eyes she is a vision. I can tell that she has trust issues and that her self confidence is next to nothing. After the night we spent together I knew that I was not letting her go. Eight weeks later she has all but vanished until that day. She was the last person I expected to walk through the door and into that meeting well that was until her business partners walked in right behind her, but that is another issue in itself. There was something different about her that day and from that moment on I knew that I was not letting her go again. Everly - He was the last person I expected to see in that meeting. I knew his first name but I should have known. I had never done anything like that before that night. There was just something about him that made me behave in a way that I never would have. He looked at me like I was the only woman in the club, but I knew that it was the . I had a couple of drinks but that was it so I couldn't even blame my behaviour on . I gave him my virginity that night and I don't regret it one bit. Now two months later and bam I am pregnant and don't know what to do. !
