The Lone Wolf Takes A Chance Novels & Stories

The real test. Under the cloak of a moonless night, we moved. Karl led the way, a shadow among shadows, his movements fluid and silent. Vinny was at his side, a formidable presence even in the dark. Behind us, a handful of Karl’s most seasoned wolves, their faces grim, eyes sharp. And then there was me, the anomaly, the one with the 'unique' abilities that might just turn the tide. My wolf paced inside me, a low growl of anticipation, ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice.

"A pack without an alpha is not a pack. Every werewolf that you see here is under my command, under certain rules and if any werewolf ever go feral, ever want to leave the pack, they will not be safe. They won't get protection from any other packs too. We call them lone wolves," "They'll be in danger?" "Yes." He replies, "And, they are also a danger to other werewolves and humans." "How is that possible?" "Well, lone wolves don't have an alpha. They don't have a pack. They don't have a family. They don't follow any rules. They can do anything they want and I'm sure this applies to humans as well, when you are alone for a really long time, you start to get really crazy in the head. So, lone w

It was as if the entity that had taken over Lucas was gradually releasing its grip. With utmost care, I approached even closer, until I was standing right in front of the red wolf. I reached out a trembling hand and gently placed it on its fur, feeling the warmth and power beneath my touch. I knew I was taking a tremendous risk, but I couldn't bear to see Lucas lost forever. "Lucas," I whispered, my voice filled with love and tenderness. "I know you're in there. Please, come back to me. We need you." As I continued to stroke the red wolf's fur, I saw a glimmer of recognition in its eyes. It was as if a tiny spark of sanity had ignited within the darkness. I held my breath, praying that Lucas

I needed to be smart about this. The wolf growled louder when I extended my claws. They were a little bit sharp and I was sure with the right amount of pressure, it could do damage. I wasn’t going down without a fight for the sake of my pup. As it lunged at me, I jumped out of the way at the last minute, and the wolf bumped its head into the wall. I took the chance to grab one of the iron dumbbells and threw it. It missed the wolf by a few inches and it turned back at me, even angrier.

He kept squirming, uncomfortable with the attention and my pronouncements. "I'll tell you the truth. Me, personally, I want to charge in there right now, tear the shit out of him. But Lone Wolf begged for you to be given a chance. I'm giving it to you. Go take care of what is yours. Accept the responsibility you've been hiding from.

The lone wolf led me through a labyrinth of winding paths, a secret world hidden from prying eyes. We reached a clearing, the scent of wildflowers and fresh moss filling the air. The lone wolf paused, turning to face me, his eyes shimmering with a mix of wisdom and curiosity. I approached him slowly, an unspoken trust growing between us. His presence felt familiar, comforting, as if he were an old friend. With a gentle nudge of his snout, he motioned for me to continue.

“There’s no one at the border now to make sure she doesn’t get killed if we let her go on schedule.” I whined in misery at his words, and snapped at the calming hand Vivian tried to put on my shoulder. “Then we go, too. Her wolf is going to fight off the silver soon, and I don’t think she knows how to process it yet.” Chandler shook his head adamantly. “No. The pack must see a lone rogue that they all respect. If we show up, we will be seen as a threat, and the attack on us will be justified by the people. She has to go alone, and now.”

Might even leave tomorrow. Lonely Man: Why the rush? I want to get to know you first through the app. Wolf: In person, is better. I need to leave this place. Lonely Man: Too many dogs? Wolf: You have no idea.

Approaching the loners with caution, Alpha greeted them with a gentle voice, "Greetings, fellow travelers. What has brought you to our territory?" The leader of the loners, a seasoned wolf named Luna, stepped forward, her voice tinged with a mix of vulnerability and resilience. "We have traveled far, driven from our home by strife and hardship. We seek refuge, a place where we can find safety and belonging." The pack members exchanged glances, their thoughts and emotions intertwined. Accepting the newcomers would bring both opportunities and challenges. Beta, known for his wisdom, stepped forward and addressed the pack, "We must consider the potential benefits of integrating them into our pa
