He shifted fully in the space of a breath, bones snapping, muscle swelling, until the great Silver Lycan stood before me, roaring loud enough to shatter the night.
Everyone would know something had happened in the Lycan King’s quarters.
More warriors poured out through the door as they heard Zane’s howl in the night. Their eyes were wide as they shifted. They looked confused but it quickly gave way to understanding as I sensed the communication through the mind link. The King’s rage was also enough to tell the story.
“She’s gone,” I forced myself to say, holding up the letter like a cursed relic. “Luna, our daughter, has been taken.”
