The Mute Gamma Novels & Stories

The Gamma brought up a name. "Then I will choose Wild Fire. Zurin looks hard and his people must be obedient to him." I added with my choice. We talked about it a bit longer until a call came into my phone. Gerald again. "Don't you want to pick it up?" The Gamma asked after the ring ended and I did nothing except ignoring it. I shook my head. "I don't need him anymore. I have got enough information so he is useless for us now." "Fuck you, man. You're so mean."

A drop dead silence follows the finality in her voice. Gamma Carmden is the second best warrior we have, after my father. As our Gamma, she is also automatically our Head Warrior. A Gamma's primary duty is to ensure the safety and security of the pack he or she swore his or her allegiance to. No matter the cost. I admire Gamma Carmden's strength, resilience, and courage, but the woman is no softie at all. Losing her mate years ago hardened her and made her so cold and cut off from the rest of the world….

I responded, knowing this was the doctor taking care of Cole. “The Gamma was poisoned when he was bitten by the Rogues,” he stated. “Poisoned? How is that possible?” I asked. “The Rogues were infected with a disease we have not seen before. The lab is working on the antidote, but until then, we are keeping the Gamma in a medically induced coma. It seems to slow the spread of the poison, in a more controlled environment,” he stated.

Marcus stared at me, his face white. "You're not human," he whispered. "You're a Mute Omega. The rarest wolf in existence." The council elders were shaking. The students were frozen. And Damon—my brother, my protector—looked at me with something I'd never seen in his eyes. Fear. "The Mute Omega hasn't been born in a thousand years," one elder said, his voice trembling. "Her voice can command Alphas. Her howl can tear packs apart. She's not just rare. She's dangerous."

Blake's eyes snapped to me as if he just discovered something unthinkable. "Well?" Drusilla asked, surprisingly having been quiet this entire time. Her impatience was notable in her tone of voice and the tap of her foot. "It's impossible to tell if Garret is clearly her Gamma, as I don't have his blood, but Raya does have a Gamma. She has the bond, and a mate bond as well, although it's suppressed for some reason." He held his chin as he spoke, looking at me as if I were some puzzle needing to be solved.

I guess that she is the gamma. All of the members immediately dropped to their knees, circling the cave and us. Their heads bowed to the lowest point as Andricia exited the cave and walked up to her beta. She looks down at her gamma, and I see a tear fall to the ground, but it’s not water; it’s fire. Once it hits the ground, smoke rises. She dropped her head, placing a long kiss on the forehead. When she removes her lips, a black mark remains on her lips burning into her gamma skin. She then takes the gamma from her beta's arms as her beta drops to a knee, where she stands. She sobs lightly, looking down to the ground.

Gamma couldn't hide his disgust when he looked at Venus. Venus of course understood the meaning of that gaze. She was in shock, confused and all the tightness filled her chest. Gamma's gaze at her wasn't the tender and loving gaze he had before. It was a cruel look, full of disgust and hatred? Jeez. During this time she thought that she had succeeded in conquering Gamma, making the man finally anchored. Gamma's reputation as a female destroyer is terrifying, but doesn't Gamma seem to have surrendered to her all this time?

I asked him as I played with the condensation on my water glass, remembering the word he’d used earlier to describe himself. He tilted his head to the side and thought for a moment. “The gamma is the luna’s beta,” he said. I raised one brow at him. “Right. Uh, the beta is the second in command to the alpha. Reid will be Wesley’s beta. So the gamma is the same, but for the luna. Basically, I’m whatever you need me to be. Some gammas act as a bodyguard for the luna if the luna isn’t a fighter or a warrior. Others just help them do their tasks around the pack. Some do both.”

Sometime later. Melsine's facial expressions changed from joyous to horrified ones and she became quiet. The look in her eyes told me she was receiving a message through the mind link. My hand clutched my heart and I waited for her response. Tears had welled up in her eyes and I clasped her hand. "What's wrong?" The door swung open and barged inside a very angry-looking Gamma Aegir. His eyes were bloodshot and they were fixated on me. His lips had thinned out in displeasure.

Suddenly, a massive surge of celestial energy exploded within me, and I knew the silence was about to shatter forever in front of the entire pack… 1602
