The Cruel Alpha: Shouldn't Let You Go

The Cruel Alpha: Shouldn't Let You Go

But the look on their faces made me assume that something must have happened because they looked so concerned and frightened, so I decided to sneak up on them and find out what they were truly about to do. Because of the persistent lack of sunlight, the leaves growing on the bottom branches of the forest's tall trees have nearly all turned yellow and some have even withered. It's similar to something in the real world that appeared shiny on the outside but was actually corroded when you peeked inside. The crow that flies by singing hymns into this desolate landscape broke the dead silence that permeated the entire forest.

The Professor's Second Chance Mate

The Professor's Second Chance Mate

Just a few minutes after the encounter, my lovely mate, Lara, emerged from behind a nearby maple tree. I had seen her earlier, and I knew she would come over when she felt ready. What caught my attention was that during my conversation with Chloe, the leaves on the tree behind Lara had rapidly changed colors from bright green to yellow, then to fiery red and brown. A few leaves even fell off the tree. However, the tree’s leaves reversed back to their original bright green when Chloe walked away, almost as if the tree was responding to Lara’s emotions. From where she was standing, with the aid of her wolf’s enhanced hearing, she would have heard everything.

BETROTHED TO THE DEMON KING

BETROTHED TO THE DEMON KING

He looked at me and smiled softly. "The herbs are from the human territory and I know how they work," I answered then picked up the one with yellow leaves. "This one instantly stops someone's bleeding no matter how deep the wound or cut is," I said then put it back into her hand and picked up the one with brown leaves. "This one acts as a toxin to all kinds of poison. But for it to work fast it needs to be mixed with olive oil." I said then put it back and picked up one with dark green leaves.

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The cradle rocked in the thick black ink of the harbor, its willow ribs groaning softly as the brine lapped against its hand-carved edges. The single green leaf sitting within its hollow did not wither in the freezing air of the basin; instead, it pulsed with a faint, translucent emerald light that cut through the violet twilight of the clearing. It was a visual anomaly—a piece of absolute, living biology resting in the junk-pile of a dead system's vocabulary.

The Mateless Alpha and I

The Mateless Alpha and I

he announced. Natasha's jaw dropped in awe as she opened her eyes and took in the surroundings. Hayden's Garden was a magical sight to behold. The garden was adorned with vibrant flowers, their petals unfurling in delicate hues of pink, purple, and white. But it was the leaves that stole the show. The leaves seemed to come alive, transforming into ethereal sources of light. Each leaf glowed gently, casting a soft and enchanting illumination throughout the garden. The colors ranged from pale greens to brilliant blues, creating a mesmerizing dance of hues that captivated the senses.

Rejected Luna: He wants me back

Rejected Luna: He wants me back

His face is clear from those wretched silver marks, which makes me feel relieved. My legs tremble as I bend towards the leaf, a wave of dizziness threatening to pull me under. Elijah’s hand, warm and assuring, presses against my back in support. I keep one hand on his shoulder, grateful for his help and steadying myself, I reach for the leaf. It lays limp on the ground, its vibrant red color turned black. I hiss as I feel a burning sensation on my hand while holding the leaf. Elijah steps forward to take the leaf from my hand, but I shake my head.

Also, I love the characters in this book! I’m sad that story the main characters is finished but then we get to revisit them in the sequel. It made me laugh and cry but luckily laughed a lot! Even the FL’s wolf is great! I love it when the wolves also communicate to them and have quite the character

I love this book. The author did an amazing job with the MLs redemption arc. I've read waaaaay too many books where the ML was horrendous and only wanted th FL back because of whatever improvements to her life/appearance made her "worthy." This lead is different. He actually improves himself.

The Sons of Hades

The Sons of Hades

It fell on a nearby flower bed. “What?” Lex asked mockingly. He didn’t have time for this. “Over there,” he pointed to the flowers, “Look at what is happening.” Frustrated, Lex tried to filter his eyes into the dim-growing background. He saw what the old man saw. The yellow flowers whose name he knew not were covered in golden dots. They hovered above them. These yellow dots were fireflies perching on the flowers. It was a usual sight which Lex did not get why it sounded so unusual to the old man.

Escaping the Alpha, Claimed in the End

Escaping the Alpha, Claimed in the End

“Bring me that withered leaf from the medicine shelf.” A young healer hesitated, then fetched a dry, brown blade of grass from a jar—a plant that had clearly long been dead. Merrick placed it carefully on the table, uncorked the vial, and poured a single drop of blood onto it. The effect was instant. The brown veins of the leaf pulsed once, then again, glowing faintly before color bled back into it. Within seconds, the brittle edges softened, the green spreading across the surface like a slow flame. The leaf unfurled itself—alive.

Thousands of shadows moved soundlessly amongst the black trunks, across tree limbs and through the yellow leaves of the Yellow Leaf forest. no sounds were made or a single yellow leaf was disturbed on the ground, although several thousand mages in full armor were trotting through at full speed. Leaving not even a footprint was left behind.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then the horror stepped further through the First Door. The entire world shook. BOOOOOOOOOOM! Its shoulders emerged. Then part of its chest. Reality screamed. Literally screamed. The sky fractured further. Entire pieces of the horizon vanished. Then returned. The universe itself was beginning to fail. Then far above— something changed. A golden leaf drifted from the crack. Small. Beautiful. Glowing softly. Everyone looked up. Immediately. Then another leaf appeared. Then another. Then hundreds. Thousands. Falling from somewhere beyond reality.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.
