I shook the thought away. Tobias smirked at us, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Well, I’m heading to bed, kids. Just one thing: don’t disrespect my house. You know what I mean. No sex under my roof if you can help it. I know you two are dying to mate, but respect an old man, yeah?” I laughed. “We won’t be having sex, Gamma Tobias. I promise.” “Good. Goodnight.” He pulled Elena into a warm hug, then shook my hand firmly before disappearing into his room.

Tobias hazards, wincing as he pushes back his messy auburn hair with a hand. I swivel toward him and take a few steps in his direction. “Well it looks like you hooked up with Tayla last night, dude.” “Okay, then yeah,” he admits with another wince. “It’s exactly what it looks like.” I snort a laugh, shaking my head. “Damn. I thought for sure you had better taste than that.” “She just showed up at my room last night!” Tobias exclaims, throwing his hands up. “What kinda guy could turn that down?”

Although I can’t vent my whole problems and misery with her, having her with me really gave me peace. The day quickly came to an end when we heard Eaton and other warriors outside, heading to the house. Me and my mom were watching some movies on the TV. Our heads were turned to the door as Eaton entered the room along with 2 other men i know, Adrian, one of Toby’s closest friend, and Dean. “You both had a good time?” Eaton asked as the other men headed to sit in the couch and started attacking the snacks me and mom have all over the coffee table.

She then leaned toward Tobias and muttered, "You have to get rid of Eden this instant and not let Ashton get to her. Otherwise, all our work will be for nothing!" Tobias furrowed his brow and asked gravely, "You want me to kill her now? I haven't even had a taste of her yet. It'd be a shame to let her die before I have my way with her. That brat won't be able to touch us for a good while since there's a barrier blocking him. I'll be done with her in five minutes!" He then ripped open his shirt and fixed his gaze on Eden with a ravenous intensity. He swallowed greedily, looking like a predator ready to pounce on its prey.

So, she asked in a confused tone, "Why aren't you eating, Mr. Toddy?" Elio said eagerly, "That's right, Uncle Toddy. Have a taste of my cooking." He really wanted to know if his father loved his dishes. Tobias rested his gaze on the food and hesitated for a moment. "Let me try it out." He took a bite of one of the dishes and chewed on it. He found it tasteless, and his stomach churned. "Blech." Tobias covered his mouth and ran to the restroom to throw up.

“But I can’t do it myself. She’s not strong enough to know what I’m planning. Not now. I don't know how to do what I want to do.” Tobias gave me a look that made my spine tingle. “Don’t worry,” he said with a small, cryptic smile. “I’ll handle it.” “Handle it?” I blinked. “What does that mean?” “I know a guy.” A cold laugh escaped me. “What are you, mafia-lite?” He shrugged, still smiling. That smile did something to me...it scared me and thrilled me at the same time. “Do you have a picture of this Samson guy?” he asked.

“Tobias, welcome. Please sit. I'm so sorry for calling you back here after yesterday. I just remembered that I had to ask you something urgently.” He sat down across from me and smiled at Lana who seemed to have taken interest in his face. “She’s really beautiful. You have a lovely daughter.” Lana smiled when I looked at her. “Do you like kids, Tobias?” “Of course, I have a kid of my own.” I'd completely forgotten about that. “So you would have definitely had another if your wife didn't go missing?” He laughed. ”She wasn't my wife. She was my girlfriend and yes, I wouldn't have minded another child.”

The leap was so drastic that Tobias couldn't process it. Theodore gestured for Tobias to sit. "Dad, I've been intensely studying cooking these past few days. I need you to try my dishes." Tobias was delighted. Even if he was just a test subject, the fact that his son thought of him first was a huge deal for him. Theodore placed the freshly prepared dish in front of Tobias. "These are chitterlings." Tobias picked up a knife and fork, sliced off a small piece, and gave it a cautious sniff before placing it in his mouth. He chewed slowly while closing his eyes, attempting to process the flavors.

James answered with a grin, and before long they scattered toward their rooms, eager to change and settle down for the night. Edward walked toward the children and ruffled Liam’s hair gently. “Get ready for bed, little man.” Liam grinned up at him. “Will Aunt Mandi and the kids come back soon?” Edward chuckled softly. “Soon enough.” Tobias lingered by the doorway, glancing between us with an unreadable expression. “I’ll be in New York for the next week,” he said casually, voice smooth. “Staying here at the mansion. Business and family.” Mandi exchanged a brief look with me, the kind that said, Stay alert. But I forced a smile and nodded.

"What is your favorite thing about my nephew?" Oh, is this a test? I inwardly laugh because the joke is on Elias—I already like plenty of things about Tobias. We might not have spent that much time together, but I'm good at reading people. "Tobias is quite possibly the grumpiest man that I've ever met. He has trouble stepping out of his comfort zone, and he is also a french fry thief. But if you can ignore that, then Tobias is one of the kindest people I've ever met," I think back to him helping me with all the items I dropped on the floor yesterday and then how Tobias swiped my face with a tissue before the brunch, and my smile grows into a genuine one. "He looks intimidating, but... He has
