However hard she tried to grasp the presence she could detect, she couldn’t touch it.
‘No, please, no!’
The silence pounding in her ears was too much. Any more of it might twinge her sanity. With her breathe hitching, she slid past the nearest boulder of rock and leaned her head on her knees.
‘Make it stop, please!’
The more she begged, the more the silence became powerful, and the more it made her drown to her insanity.
As her hopes started crashing down, as her body started lying down on the cold ground, a deep voice vibrated.
