“You don’t trust me, Aaron,” I whispered again, my voice trembling. “Is that it? You don’t trust us? Our relationship?”
“I trust you,” he said quickly, desperately. “Of course, I trust you. But I don’t trust him. That’s the truth. I don’t trust that guy, Elora.” He shook his head, pulling me closer, almost crushing me in his arms.
