I browsed the shelves, and I read the titles. I paused in front of a book that I deemed the most interesting. I pulled it out of the shelf and stared at it, contemplating whether to get on with it or not. Arnold shouted angrily. Oh, but he hadn’t actually ordered his men to kill Nathaniel Lee. He’d only asked them to give him a proper “welcome” with some serious injuries. Unfortunately, none of his men were smart enough, so his plan had clearly failed completely. In a huff, the war general stormed out of the control room and slammed the door shut. You would have to go against everything you’ve believed in to win this. No matter how low, cruel, harsh, or dirty it got. You had to do everything to win, there was no such thing as mercy in this. Anyone and everyone could be a risk to you, no matter how old, how big, or how small the person was.

No secret support. The wars outside UNA were not our wars. The Council had passed the directive swiftly, advising all UNA nations to adopt a policy of strict non-interference. To the council, and to me, the wars unfolding across the continent were nothing more than background noise. We had more important matters to tend to. We had roads to build. Farms to expand. Railways to complete. We had Peacekeeper outposts to strengthen and dungeons to harvest.
