My reflection stared back at me with silent accusation, and suddenly, nothing made sense. Snatching a washcloth, I begin scrubbing my face furiously. Despite how bad it looks, there are no bruises, no cuts, no swelling. “It’s probably just another nosebleed,” I mumble. They’ve been happening more and more often lately, especially after seeing him. Something always worsens after we cross paths—migraines, bleeding, something. I blink, leaning in closer to inspect the reflection. My stomach twists when I spot the whites of my eyes—no longer white, but clouded with a deep red hue. “What on earth?” I whisper, horrified.

He said and I widen my eyes Oh shit! I suddenly felt the urge to throw up and I did. Black dots started to appear in front of me when I saw something that I don't want too but I saw clearly. Same blue eyes from my nightmares…

“Not now, what are you doing?” I hear Eric screaming at someone in the next room before I open my eyes. Slowly opening them, they hurt from crying all night and feel puffy. I run my fingers over my lids, and they feel oversized. “Great! Not only do I have to worry about being beheaded but dying while looking like I am having an allergic reaction.” I murmur under my breath and pray that Eric doesn’t hear me.

Ethan's bloodshot eyes told me everything. He had cleaned himself up, trying to look sharp, but no matter how polished his appearance, eyes never lied. The next day came in a flash, I woke up with slight headache. It must be from crying till I blacked out. I walked into my bathroom and looked at my reflection. I looked horrible, my cheeks were puffy, my nose was pink and my eyes were dull and swollen. I felt disgusted by my self, they were right , I am ugly.

I chopped my nose quickly with the back of my hand and switched on the faucet, letting water splash loudly into the sink. "Yea?" I yelled out, trying to put calm into my voice. "You all right?" he inquired. "Sure," I said to him, trying to sound as normal as possible. "Just waiting for a minute. Hot water's taking forever." "Okay," he replied, not entirely trusting me but courteous. I settled in closer toward the mirror and studied my own eyes. The whites of my eyes had a very slight bloodshot appearance. There was a calming throb behind my temples now, the beat of a warning drum.

I take a shower, hoping to rinse him off, but even if the smell completely dissipates, I will not be able to restore my body to the way it was before he touched me. Getting out of the shower, I wrap a towel around myself and look at my face in the mirror. I have a faint bruise on my forehead, but otherwise, I look about the same as I always do. Except for my eyes. I can see the sadness within them, their lack of life and vibrancy. I have bags beginning to form as well from lack of sleep, and my eyeballs are red from all of the crying I did the night before.

I just felt useless, unable to help him in any way. He looked bony with baggy eyes and seemed like lost a lot of weight even if it was for just a week. Dark circles started to appear around his eyes and his face was always swollen when he woke up in the morning due to all that crying overnight. He cried all night and started sleeping all morning.

My eyes were bloodshot, I grimaced as a migraine almost blinded as I left the house. I got to the office and started working. If I couldn’t sleep, there were other things that needed to be done.

Klyde smiled happily. Klyde, with a blood clotting on his forehead woke up with his eyes bloodshot, still bleeding and woozy. Nick on the other side looks like a murdered man who climbs up from his grave, badly injured and can see it on his face that he's hurting. He has a clothe around his shoulder but it's not applied properly yet it is enough to stop him from bleeding as he cure himself, although the pain didn't stop there.
