The first bite came, sharp and deep, and then the second, each one draining me faster than I could comprehend. I bolted upright in bed, my chest heaving as if I’d just run a marathon. Sweat clung to my skin, my heart hammering in my chest. For a moment, I gripped the sheets tightly, grounding myself in reality. I looked around, trying to see anything I could fixate on that would calm my racing heart. “It’s just a dream,” I whispered to the empty room.

Just as I was about to fall into the grave, I felt a hard wind blow to my face and I woke up. I woke up with a jolt, my heart pounding in my chest, and I was drenched in sweat. My heart was racing, and I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. It took a few moments for me to realize that it had just been a nightmare. A nightmare that felt so real, It had been so vivid, I could almost still hear the eerie cries and the hooting of owls echoing in my ears. I sat up in bed, trying to calm my breathing. I watch him sit up on the bed looking at me like I have grown two heads. "Who are you? And….. what are you doing in my bed?" I ask him quickly and stammer a bit. Because of the hangover, my brain is hazy now. I can't collect anything about this guy. But, My heartbeat is fast. Beating ten times faster than its normal speed. I'm feeling like I'm going to get a heart attack soon. Why is it acting like this? What happens to my heart? I watch him shuffle off the bed and walk in my direction.

He loves kissing my face… I also do that to him whenever he asks. And then he kisses my eyelid. I feel a bit tingly. Oh WTF— My heart at this moment could compete in a car race and come first. It beats so fast I almost hear it. Then he pauses. And the next second, I feel his hand on my chest. My eyes snap open! Oh wait… It is in my subconscious. I cannot open my eyes! Asher I woke up sweating profusely and my heart beating really hard and fast. I was so scared and it felt like I was having a heart attack. I wasn’t sick before going to bed but the dream I had was so scary and it just did a lot of things to my mental heart.

Isayanna I wake up with a jolt, my heart pounding as I realize my hands are resting on Jaydon’s chest. My eyes widen in disbelief, and I yank my arms away like they have been burned.
