Katherine could not believe what the alpha had just told her, not because she did not feel she was worthy of been loved but because she was no werewolf. Katherine was a witch, her parents were both powerful witches and when her father got terminally ill her mother turned to black magic to save his life, her and her elder brother both helped but they were soon discovered she and all three of them were sentenced to death for practicing black magic which was a taboo in the coven.

She rattles off, thinking Derrick is saving her. To nobody’s surprise but hers, Derrick grabs a fistful of her hair painfully, making Katherine gasp and using the chance to pour the wine down her throat. He tosses the glass and slaps his free hand over her mouth to ensure Katherine swallows every drop. When he pulls his hand away, Katherine looks at Derrick like he betrayed her bloodline and chokes out, “how could you?” The moment Derrick releases his hold on her hair, Katherine drops to the floor and starts screaming. Her claws extend and she starts scratching at her stomach, howling and screaming in agonizing pain before she takes her last breath and her body goes limp.

That should make them pretty happy. After Katherine had finished her morning routine she walked down the creaky stairs. As she got closer to the end of them, Katherine's sensitive hearing began picking up noises in the kitchen. Oh my... It's them. The vampires have come for me over McDuffie. Oh, why did Tyler have to kill him? Why? Katherine quietly crept down the stairs and walked over to the coat rack. Taking a large umbrella from it, she tiptoed to the kitchen, hardly daring to breathe for fear the vampires would hear her.

I said seeing how his eyes darted from me to Evan who looked pissed. I asked Evan to leave with the nurse so that I can have a conversation with our new friend here. After they left I took a seat showing him my watch. "My time is limited and so is my patience!" "So is Katherine's, after her father's death she turned into this monster! Do you know how we caught her trace?" "Blood banks?" I asked and to my surprise he laughed at my answer.

She grabbed a towel to wipe her face, her movements shaky, and rinsed her mouth out. “I don’t want your explanations, Luci,” she said, her voice venomous as she glared at him from the entrance of the restroom... “I don’t even want to look at you right now.” As she stormed off, Lucifer rose to his feet, his jaw tightening. For once, he was left speechless, a strange feeling swirling in his chest. But just as Katherine reached the bedroom door, she stopped in her tracks. A gasp escaped her lips, her hand flying to her abdomen, which ached in pain. Her knees buckled, and she fell to the floor.

Chapter three. Charles' POV. I stood at the edge of the fifty-story building of the Moonstone Pack's company, watching the far end of the earth. "Coward," I muttered to myself. I closed my eyes deeply, and Kate's face kept displaying in my head. What have I done? She was just a poor omega, a desperate slave with no one, but I sent her away to the wild. Is she dead? I don't think I would be able to live with this guilt. She was my mate. I raped her, threatened to kill her, and sent her to her death.

At the back of my mind, I knew that there had to be more to this story, since Katherine despite her being weak was stronger than your average wolf …she would still be hard to kill but I let loose on my anger that even the guards had to run away, for fear of being smashed next against the floor. An hour later, when I was calmer and I was washing the blood off my hand I dried my hands on a towel and picked up my phone, "I need to find Katherine, and I need to do it now!" And I abruptly stood from my chair than in a blink of an eye, my left hand was choking his neck and my fangs were shown were about to rip his throat out. It wasn’t necessary and I never intended to kill him but shock therapy should be shown remembering he could say that line raising the monster in me.

Katherine tried to explain, her voice trembling. But another slap landed, this time from her adoptive father, Jones. His face was a mask of cold pack justice. "Enough lies, Katherine. By the laws of this pack, we cast you out. You are Omega. You have no family, no pack, and no honor." With those final, crushing words, he shoved her backward. Losing her footing on the loose stones, Katherine fell hard, the world spinning as she tumbled down the steep, rocky incline, the pack's condemning howls following her into the darkness.
