Why Does A Horse Wear Blinders 소설 & 이야기

The horses tensed and kicked high as the guards immediately moved closer, their hands going to their weapons. Something was clearly watching us from the shadows.

Horses go haywire and gallop halter skelter and the sudden earthquake causes the earth beneath them to cave in. I see myself running further into the chaos. My eyes are searching, my heart is calling out. Mavli. Mavli. Mavli. People are yelling and shouting out prayers, horses are throwing off their masked riders. I see myself being thrown off balance and my face scrapes on the ground as I plunge down. I turn my head and catch a mask staring at me, not the mask though but the hardened eyes behind it. Even in this mayhem, the eyes plot my capture.

Then it plunged into the fog. Sethlzaar's eyes snapped shut. They took solace in the touch of rushing wind as the horse soared in its tracks only for it to be visibly tainted with fear when the animal slowed to a canter and, finally, came to a stop. Sethlzaar had grown accustomed to the bounce that came with each gallop and had as well grown tired of it. But he'd never been more imploring of its return as he was in this moment. The mist was thick, so much so that even the black of the horse's mane was near impossible to discern.

They didn’t allow themselves to breathe until they’d reached their horses and were mounted on their backs. It was too dark to travel fast. Since the horse’s vision exceeded theirs in the night, they pointed their horses in the direction that they wanted to go and, trustingly, let them pick their way. “This is a bit nerve wracking,” Ari said in a hushed tone. “The horses will sense danger,” Baelil assured her. “It’s safer than you might think.” “I guess I’m just uncomfortable with not knowing where I’m going.” “We can stop for the night, if you prefer,” he offered while hoping that she’d refuse.

I stilled on my spot until Averi is standing before me. I blinked my eyes. Open, close, rub the lid of it and open again just to be sure that I am not imagining things and that he's reallt standing in front of me. I gazes at my back. His black horse with a gleaming shiny hair is standing steps away from us, untied and yet it's not doing anything to runaway from us. His horse is trained properly, it's rare for horses to have such discipline. I think it's way more obedient than I'll ever be.

The horse responded and quickly galloped to the fence before leaping over it as though it was not a barrier at all. The scent of wet earth filled the air, a testament to the rain that had fallen the night before. Mud got sprayed in different directions behind me as we galloped, with some of them staining my back. I didn't mind the stain though as my mind was focused on something much more greater. Suddenly, I caught sight of movement at the corner of my eyes. My grip tightened on the rein as I quickly steered the horse to a stop. "Easy," I mumbled as I tried to steady my suddenly agitated horse. "What is making you uncomfortable girl--"

But in that shadow, I saw them. Eyes. Red. Glowing. Dozens. They blinked slowly, without rhythm, without reason. Watching. Waiting. My breath caught in my throat. I stood slowly, heart pounding against my ribs. “Easy,” I whispered to the horse. “Easy now.” She was frozen in place, nostrils flaring, her eyes wide with instinctive fear. I moved to untie her reins, my fingers fumbling with the knot. My eyes never left the darkness. The creatures didn’t move.

This one being louder and ear-piercing as compared to the former sound. "NEIGHHHH!!!" That was the whinny of a giant white horse attached to a royal cart as the horse was about to gallop into the Forbidden Area. Due to the darkness descending around, the rider wasn't visible. As the rider was using the reins to control the horse that was going crazy and would often make whickers out of frustration, the rider said out of confusion, his voice jumping as the horse was making high galloping movements, "Why is it behaving like this?! Is it because I am riding it in a forbidden region?" The voice went silent for a brief second before pouring out again.

“These people might be in trouble” “I don’t think so. Didn’t you see their mounts? I grew up raising mounts and selling them with my father. So I can recognize those horses. Those are Red Maned Horses. They are even more expensive than Gold Hoofed Horses. Young Master Twain is blind to not see that.” “That is true. Plus these people are also allowed to ride in the city. No ordinary person would have such a privilege.”

“Animals have healing properties, they can calm any soul.” “Completely agree with you,” I answered, still hugging the beautiful animal. “We can't ride her now because the groom is feeding all the other horses and it's also going to get dark soon.” Harry said, watching me play with the horse. “Dad is planning to light the entire paddock, but it's still not done.” “That would be amazing,” I said, smiling brightly at the horse looking at me with her big brown eyes. “I can ride on her tomorrow though?”
