Witcher Elder Blood Novels & Stories

Nanya lying awake, whispering my name into the dark. Each small ache struck through me like arrows. The sting on her palm, the hollow in her chest—all of it translated into my own body, foreign and unbearable. I staggered forward, panting. “Stop—please, stop!” “She is your mirror now,” the Elder intoned. “Her pain, your pain. Her death, your end.” I fell to my knees, trembling. Blood—my blood—spattered on the marble, bright as rubies. Gods were not supposed to bleed, but crimson drops fell anyway, sizzling against the divine stone.

The Elder screams, writhing in pain as the scorching brilliance emanating from Dean's iris reaches temperatures rivaling the sun, searing the Elder's flesh to a blackened, flaky crisp without ending his life. Holding the Primary Elder firmly, Dean revels in extending the man's suffering for as long as possible. Meanwhile, near the end of the table where I stand, one of the remaining Elders still possesses a semblance of dignity. He sits calmly, hands folded upon the table, his eyes shut in a deep meditative trance. Without a hint of mercy, I lift my leg and decisively set it down upon him, tearing away a chunk of the solid wood beneath him. A vibrant crimson liquid spills from beneath my foo

begins the elder. "To create any antidote or a remedy for anyone we need at least the blood sample of that person. What I think is that when Sierra was kidnapped by the rogues, they must have taken her blood to play with it," he says and I shudder at the choice of words. The elder looks at me sympathetically before continuing.

“Are you okay? You look… lost.” For a split second, his eyes flickered red before returning to normal. Anyone would have missed it but I caught it. Was he a witch too? My father appeared before I could speak. “They’re waiting.” He seized my arm and dragged me back. I walked like a puppet with my mind spinning from the things I just witnessed in a few minutes. A rope was tied around my wrist and Luca’s. “Drink his blood,” an elder commanded. Luca sliced his palm and offered it. I hesitated but brought his wrist to my lips after feeling the weight of the eyes of everyone in this room. The rope burned and vanished. Finally, the ritual was successful and over.

Elder Corvin. Samantha blinked. “Elder? What are you doing out here?” The old man didn’t respond. His white eyes glowed faintly, unnaturally. He raised his hand, pointing at the fallen wolf “The prophecy…” he rasped. “The Goddess stirs again. The blood moon is coming. And when it does—” “Elder!” Cade’s voice rang out, shifting back into human form as he strode forward. “You shouldn’t be here!” Corvin’s mouth twisted into a strange smile. “The time has come. The time has come.”

Elder Cliff asked. “Yes Elder,” we said. “Chase and Ryder Grey, deposit your blood into the cup,” Elder Victor said. He handed the knife first to Chase where he slit open his wrist and his blood dropped down into the golden cup. Chase handed me the knife and I did the same. I moved my wrist once it started to heal and half of the cup was filled. The Elders nodded in approval and they each opened two vials and mixed the contents with our blood. “Drink and open both your minds to all the possibilities,” Elder Michael said with a smile.

Elder Peter said. I took the knife from the table next to me and slit my wrist. I watched as my blood dropped into the golden cup. I held my wrist there until it started to heal and about a quarter of the cup was filled. The Elders nodded their approval and they each opened a vial and mixed the contents with my blood. “Drink and open your mind to all the possibilities,” Elder James said. I took the cup and drank my own blood. It tasted slightly bitter and then sweet. The cup was taken from my hand as I felt something stir within me. My mind felt fuzzy and I felt drunk or high or something in between those two.

Even Elder Xhang that had attached him now stared at him as he elevated higher and higher almost reaching to the ceiling of the court. “More reason I have to kill him!” Elder Xhang roared. “He has now shared blood with the witch. He would pollute our children with his evil blood and sooner rather than later, this pack would no longer be remembered. We would fall and it would all be the fault of our Beta.”

Marcus repeated, “So help me, Great One.” The Elders murmured their approval and signaled for the final step. An older Elder stepped forward, his expression severe. He grabbed Marcus’ palm and sliced it open with a sharp ceremonial dagger, then did the same to Alpha Cyrus. Their bleeding hands were pressed together over a bowl, droplets of their mixed blood falling into the sacred vessel. The Elder began chanting, his voice deep: "By the blood of the old, the blood of the new, The strength of the moon, the call of the true,

“Now, take this knife and slice your palm, let a few drops land in the chalice. Alpha Nico, I’ll need you to do the same.” I picked up the knife, realizing the handle was wrapped with sueded. Pressing the blade into my palm, I winched at the sting of silver. I held my hand over the chalice, letting a few drops of blood fall to the bottom. Nico followed my lead and when our blood was mixed, Elder Kenneth instructed me to drink our combined blood. As soon as the blood touched my tongue, I felt an overwhelming power take over me. I figured it was me connecting with the pack until everyone gasped. “Her eyes.”
