Jackson comforted her with a promise to delve into their ancestry for answers. Krystal's abilities were limited to sensing and spellcasting, skills honed through training, and her capacity to transform into a wolf.

I just motioned for my other companions to step aside from the royalties before I turned around and started walking into the gymnasium. When I opened the door, all the students fell silent. I went in and opened the door wide. Royalties came in. All the students stood up before bowing at the same time. Inside the gymnasium they have him-his chair/throne. Ryker said as he dashed off into the battle, leaving only me and Sarah behind. “Hey, Sarah right?” I asked, my eyes now on her. “Yes I am,” she responded eagerly with her brimming with adoration, “Do you need anything Mr Leon?” Mr Leon? Okay… so I'm guessing she is also one of those crazy Leon fangirles, well, this makes it much easier then. “Yeah, do you know what that creature is?” I asked with a smile as I pointed towards the beast they were trying to bind. “Ohh that, well, we don't officially have a name for it, seeing it only began appearing at the start of this academy year and well it only seems to happen to the Alpha's, but for now, we call them the beast.”

I know she’s both thinking about the safety of the pack and my own exhaustion level. “The police are on their way to meet Scar where Channing found the dead human. And,” I say looking up to glance at the clock on my office wall, “in just about six hours, Leader Bruno will be here to talk to us and Scar’s parents about their experiences with the undead, so we can have some ideas in place for when Scarlett contacts COWS. As we walked across campus, heading toward the dining hall, a few small children played in the grassy quad, while their mothers nearby quietly spoke. One of the women was crying, but trying to hide it, wiping at her face with the side of her palm.

His voice was deep as he said: “I am Principal James Cashmable. Welcome, new students, to Warster Kailey Academy, the grand academy that unites the three kinds: vampires, demons, and ghouls. Here, you are all equal. No one is above another.” He paused for a moment, then continued: “I wish you the best experiences and happiness here at the Academy of the Nation.”
