|| SILVIA STUART's POV ||

" I can't wait to meet you! Remember our secret place?"

I smiled shyly at the text, sent by my boyfriend, Maxim. He was the best thing that happened after my father's demise. I was devastated and broken. My father, Christen Stuart had more than enough assets for me to live in this world without any worry. But unlucky for me, the bank, several people came right after the day he died. After paying them off, I had almost nothing.

Maxim became my sole support at that time. Thankfully, I had this job now which could give me a little relief. My boss's shrill voice rang from my opposite side, destroying my dream,

" SILVIA! PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DUTY! YOU HAVE RUINED IT ONCE." 

I quickly hid my phone. I worked in the bakery for the first time. A cake was ruined by me after I was distracted from the oven. I replied, pursing my lips nervously,

" Ye...Yes..Boss..I was just checking."

Maxim and I decided to celebrate his birthday together. He booked a room for us and I could imagine what was going to happen tonight. I blushed hard at the remembrance. It had been two years since we were dating. I was yet to have sex with Maxim. I wanted us to be together badly.

I stole a look from the clock, a happy smile spread on my lips. It was almost 11 p.m. which meant that my duty hours were over. Sending a text back to Maxim, I began to unwrap my apron. The door clicked followed by a footstep. I spoke without lifting my eyes,

" We are close, Sir. Please come back tomorrow."

" But I need it! NOW!"

A dark deep voice replied, snapping me out of my trench. I lifted my eyes to see a man standing in a pitch-black suit. It was a smoking hot man. With curly hair, deep brown eyes, tall figure, he was the other definition of perfection. When our eyes were locked, I felt an electric shock, vibrating through my body. I retrieved my professional attitude, stealing the look of the last strawberry cake we had,

" Ah! We...we have one last piece, Sir. If you want other.."

He cut me off, stepping closer to the counter,

" I want that one, Miss..."

His eyes landed on my name tag. I felt a twist in my heart as he added a gleam in his eyes,

" Miss Silvia Stuart! Pack it for me."

I nodded, looking down at the cake, bringing myself to smile,

" Yes, Sir..Sure. Do you want something to write on the cake?"

He smirked, his eyes lingering on me longer than usual,

" Nope! She shouldn't know."

Weirdo!

I didn't want to know either. Such a man was only giving me dark vibes. I wanted to be done with my duties at once and went back to Maxim as early as possible. I packed the cake for him quickly. He gave me a big note which I was supposed to return. I excused myself from there to get the change back from my boss,

" Please wait a moment. I have to take it from my boss."

I returned in no less than 3 minutes. By the time I came back, he was gone. I stayed numb at the place, staring down at the dollars in my hand.

" SILVIA!! Where are you? "

Maxim shouted through the speaker as I waited for my Uber. I apologized again, looking back and forth,

" I am sorry, Maxim. The Uber...is kind of late. I am still waiting for it."

He exhaled helplessly, putting a reminder before ending the call,

" Just be careful. I am waiting."

I cursed under my breath. I didn't understand what was taking so long but I was losing my mind. A black car appeared from the other direction, coming with great speed. It pulled in front of me for a moment. Before I had the chance to run away, something was sprayed on my face. I drifted into the realm of darkness.

A cold splash of water woke me up. I snapped up from my slumber sleep, discovering myself in an unfamiliar environment. I shivered at the cold, looking around to see more than ten men standing. There was something animalistic regarding the men that made me fear them.

Someone from them shouted, alerting someone,

" She is awake, Alpha."

My heart dropped instantly at their introduction. No! I wasn't facing the same fate that my father had. I ran away from home, leaving all the traces behind.

A dark silhouette emerged from the doorway, my jaw dropped speechlessly at the familiar face. I snapped at him, wiggling in my chair that they had kept me tied,

" IT'S YOU!! YOU.. WHAT..do you want from me!"

My father was dead. He didn't hunt any werewolves in his last days of life. He warned me not to cross paths with any werewolves. That man smirked, walking up to me,

" We meet again, dear SILVIA!"

His cold hand caressed my cheek. I had to clamp my teeth together to not make a whine. His touch ignited some sparks on my skin. I whispered in tears, feeling helpless in this state,

" What do..you want from me?"

The man whom they called Alpha's face clouded in rage. Suddenly he clutched my jaw into a painful grip,

" WHERE IS YOUR FATHER? TELL ME! WHERE IS HE HIDING?"

My jaw ached badly from his monstrous grip. I cried out, spilling the truth,

" He...he is dead .. Let me go...I know nothing about his works..."

The Alpha's lips stretched into a sinister grin, his face grimacing as he sneered at my face,

" Unfortunately...your father owes too much to us, dear. Since he is dead, shouldn't you repay his sins?"

I asked back, tears of pain streaming from my eyes,

" WHAT... What did he do? Money? I don't have money but I will give you back. I... just need time..I will pay you back..But I have to know why you are looking for him. What does he owe to you?"

I had terrible luck indeed. The people that I was running away from had finally held me under their clutches. The Alpha replied, bringing his face close to me,

" A LIFE! HE OWES ME A LIFE! Are you going to give it back, little kitty?"
