MEETING HIM

Esperanza POV

 "Get it done quickly," an Omega ordered another in the kitchen.

 Everywhere was silent as people waited for Alpha Drupal's arrival. I was in the kitchen watching all that was going on as it could be my last time to see them.

 "What if he is our mate?" I heard my wolf ask.

 

 It sounded funny to me that I shook my head.

 "Alpha Drupal can't be my mate," I silently said. "Why would I be sacrificed to my mate?"

 I was going to make everything save for me till Mr. Salvador saves me, but if he doesn't, I will be left with no other choice than to make things worse for this pack.

 "Esperanza, what are you doing here?" I heard someone ask, and some of the Omegas began to laugh.

 "Laugh while you can," I said with a smile on my lips as I marked the face of the person who spoke.

 

 Taking a deep breath, I turned around to walk. My eyes saw something that brought memories of my days with Damien.

 "I hope you have a peaceful life with Eleanor," I said as I walked.

 "Esperanza!!" Mr. Salvador called as I got into the room.

 

 From the look of things, I expected him to scold me and rebuke me if his actions towards me weren't real, but to my surprise, he pulled me into a hug.

 "I would miss you," he said. "Remember that I promised to get you out of this situation."

 I hugged him, and wept a little, not because I was sad about what was going to happen soon, but because I regretted doubting him.

 "I am sorry for..." I was saying then stopped as I knew what I was about to say would leave him stunned.

 After all, Eleanor was his daughter and a father wouldn't want any harm to his daughter.

 "Take care of yourself," I said. "You are Alpha Damien's second father."

 Not long later, we heard a whistle.

 "What can that be?" I asked, and was about to step out, but stopped when we heard the announcement.

 

 "Alpha Drupal is here," we heard, and I looked at Mr. Salvador.

 He looked at me like I was scared, but I wasn't. I wasn't expecting him to arrive as early as this though I already packed my belongings.

 "I should go out," I said and walked out to see Alpha Drupal.

 Sera, my wolf, showed her excitement to meet Drupal, which was funny to me. How would she behave when we find our mate?

 I saw Drupal from afar. He was a tall, handsome young man with a well-built body. A slap from him could send me flying backward. 

 Seeing him made me think about my plans. Would I be able to speak to him about that?

 "Good afternoon," I greeted him when his eyes met mine.

 He wore a cold expression that made me move back. It wasn't until he stretched his hand to me.

 Behind me, I could hear a surprised gasp.

 After leaving my hand, he walked to Damien.

 "Why are you standing here?" I heard Mr. Salvador ask, and turned to look at him.

 "We shook hands," I said.

 

 He nodded, and without a word, he left.

 I continued staring at Alpha Drupal.

 How did he become a powerful Alpha without a woman by his side?

 

 "I should go to get my load," I said, and was about to leave when I heard a voice telling me to stop.

 It was an unfamiliar voice so I continued walking.

 In a flash, Drupal appeared in front of me.

 

 "Where are you going?"

 "To get my load," I said, and he smiled.

 "There is no need," he said. "You are going with nothing."

 To me, it only meant one thing. Maybe he had an unknown intention.

 "People are watching us," he said.

 Holding hands, we walked together, and I could see everyone's surprised expressions. I was also confused by the way he behaved.

 "We would be leaving," he said to Damien who looked at me.

 "It's too late," Damien said. "Do you mind sleeping in a guest room? Then you will leave tomorrow morning."

 

 I expected Drupal to respond positively, but he gave a negative response.

 "The sun isn't down," he said.

 While he was still speaking, three men walked in. Each of them were carrying a box.

 

 "What's here?" Damien asked opening a box.

 "We would have a proper discussion later," Drupal said, and we walked out with the men.

 

 After walking some distance, I saw some men bow to Drupal, and two men opened two of the car doors. Drupal got in front while I sat at the back.

 "Sit comfortably," he said, turning to look at the back.

 We were in an SUV.

 I stared out the window as the car moved, and all I could think of was my younger days.

 

 "I wish you were alive," I silently said as I thought of my parents and my godfather.

 

 "Esperanza!!!" Someone pulled my sleeve. "Come out."

 Looking forward, I saw Drupal standing out of the car. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh as I didn't know when the car stopped.

 "Alright,"

 Standing beside Drupal, I fixed my eyes on the ground. We hadn't left the pack so I was confused.

 "Follow me," Drupal said and we followed him.

 He led us to an abandoned hut, and when he opened the door, I was filled with disgust.

 "We would stay here today," he said and my lips twitched.

 

 I wanted to protest against it, but what could I do when everyone respected him?

 "Where am I going to sleep?" I asked, and he pointed to the ground.

 

 "Choose any place," he said.

 Looking everywhere, I shook my head then looked at him.

 "Where are you going to sleep?" I asked.

 It was only when he pointed to the side that I noticed a chair, and a stool.

 Some men busied themselves cleaning some areas like we were going to live there for two years.

 "Your people are cleaning like we aren't leaving here tomorrow," I said and he smiled.
