I took out my phone and made a video call. “No baby. This is the past, and yeah it helped make you who you are, but it’s not what you’ve become. We have a massive amazing family, and you couldn’t be more loved. Here,” I said, holding my phone out in front of her. “You ready,” Robert asked. “Yup,” I said. He flipped the screen around and it showed two dozen people in our backyard at home, building a giant treehouse that spanned between numerous large trees. There were even ramps on either side for wolves to run up.

Narration by Sam. "Is that so, it's good that nothing bad happened to you." Her dad said. Sam didn't speak and just looked out the window. Then she speak again to her dad. "That's why I don't want to study of that school, dad. It's scary and the place is really scary, especially the tree house." Sam said seriously. "What's in the tree house?" Her dad asked. "They said it was the abode of souls. It was even called the devil tree house because of the devil's presence." Sam explains about the tree house.

There’s a single set of stairs leading to the treehouse. “Come on,” Nathan motions her. “We can work here.” Halsey follows him and they climb the stairs. Nathan rustles the old lock and with great difficulty, manages to open it. The treehouse isn’t dusty but rather clean and fresh. There’s an old couch in the middle. A few comic books lay on it and Halsey notices the picture of a dark haired woman in her thirties, hugging a small boy. The picture is hung on a prominent spot on the wall.

"Don't beat yourself up too hard. You were just a kid yourself. She's healthy, she's happy." She's alive. They edged the tree line and he grinned. Raven stood at the base of the tree house, gawking up at the structure. "I'll have you know, this is no tree house. This is a Pinterest board." He laughed. It was pretty fantastic. Around the base of a thick spruce was a thin, winding staircase that led to a small platform twenty feet up. The tree house was designed to resemble a much smaller version of the main house and was held up by four thick beams. All four walls had windows and insulation.

Standing solidly and perfectly hidden by the trees was a huge treehouse, if it could even be called that. It was a beautiful house with a solid foundation, lanterns illuminated the place and no one could have ever guessed that such a structure could be supported by trees and certainly nothing could have made anyone imagine that such a thing would exist in the middle of the forest. Several people of different sizes, mostly teenagers, young adults and then children came out of the house, obviously excited about their leader's return. They were about thirteen in number, Gath included "It's good, right? Though it still needs some work." She asked, instantly waking me from my thoughts.

Maggie asked gaping at the tree house. “It is a tree house, though it looks abandoned” Ethan was observing the tree house closely. The tree house was built about thirteen or fourteen above the ground level. It was sturdily built in bamboo, and palm leaves, it almost looked like a garden shed. Something about this place makes me uneasy, I feel like we are getting closer to something, that all these events are leading us into something dreadful. Ethan gently placed Maggie down on the ground and tested the lower rung of the ladder leading up to the tree house.

I could hope until my balls turned blue that Matt would break things off with her. Evergreens whizzed by in a blur along the rolling Carolina countryside as silence stretched between us. Summer had a tree house in her backyard when we were kids. She had wanted it in an evergreen because she thought fairies lived in them, not the tall oak it wound up in. I smiled. The stairs continued above the platform and opened to a second platform about a hundred feet up. The platforms connected outside of the tree with other trees' branches and platforms, making it easy to walk among the treetops in this forest.

The trees swayed and I saw a few cats playing with each other. "Yeah?" He said, his voice muffled as well. "Wait till you see the actual place." And we were silent for a while until I saw a sign. "Hot air balloon festival? You're taking me on an air hot air balloon?" "Yeah." Brayden laughed as he slowed the bike down. "Pretty cool, huh?" And we stopped in what seems like a field. The balloons were huge with variety of colors. I was so amused and amazed that Brayden would actually do something like this for me.
