Chris tried to talk to the girl again. “R-really?” The girl responded after a sob. Chris’ eyes widened and he automatically jolted away from the child. The girl’s eyes are as if a void and blood kept flowing from her eyes. The blood flowed in the girl’s dress. The child started laughing as the place suddenly shook. The sky is covered in crimson clouds making the whole place dark. Chris held in the tree beside him for support but snakes suddenly appeared in its branches.

POV DARLENE The silence that followed the destruction of the obsidian bridge was a physical weight, a thick, suffocating blanket that seemed to drown out even the frantic pulse of my own heart. On the grass, on my hands, on my clothes, and all-around despite the darkness as if a sudden light exposed those parts. The blood made me scream on the inside but my body didn't react. My eyes followed the trail of blood on their own and stopped suddenly. It took me a second to make out the body on the ground and flames suddenly appeared, burning the lifeless corps
