SCARLETT'S POV. I was completely right. The party was boring as hell, and from the looks of things we weren't even near done here. And then even worse, the annoying as fuck MC who thoughts his jokes were so funny but they were obviously not, had been wasting so much time on the third segment of the programme which was jokes and riddles, that I almost threw my shoe at him. If I heard one more uncle joke coming from his mouth, I could just do it right there, damning all the consequences.

…And who the hell is the ‘Maddie’ in question? “You,” another pointed to me, their laughter growing more irritating than earlier. “You're the funny girl here” My brow furrowed the more their argument increased. “Don't tell me you don't crack the ribs of your fellow students with your funny jokes?” “Jokes?” “Yeah,” the same guy nodded, taking a step forward. “Well, I wished I could” “Why won't you?” He demanded, his gaze furrowed as he glanced briefly into my eyes.

“Don’t you mean fangtastic?” “I most assuredly do not.” His face was now stern. I rolled my eyes. “OK, got it. Dick jokes are OK but vampire jokes are not. Touchy much?” His mouth was drawn in a thin line “Funny jokes are acceptable. Others should be met with the derision they deserve.” There was a pregnant pause and all silly jokes and puns rushed out of my head, so I settled for rolling my eyes at him as I jumped off the bar stool instead. “Do you have anyone you need to let know you’ll be away?” he asked

“Why would I change when you’ll never stop trying to earn a joke from every situation?” “Isn’t life more fun with jokes? Something to laugh about once in a while. You know, it makes the world beautiful and fun when it’s dark. Studies even say laughter heals faster than herbs do. Lowers pain, strengthens the heart, clears the head. Makes the blood flow freer. In short — that’s why I’m looking younger and living longer. Which of those old people in the pack is as old as me, uh? None. I’m the oldest.”

"You have no idea–I was just joking around, but those disgusting guys went crazy asking me for your contact." The old me would have already been crying, asking her how she could do this to me, voice breaking. Not this me. My teeth clenched so hard they hurt. My whole body trembled with anger. I snatched the flyer out of her hand and slapped her across the face. Tara screamed, clutching her cheek in disbelief. "You hit me? I treat you like my best friend, and you can't even take a joke anymore?" Best friend? I let out a cold laugh.

I'll only ever be a disappointment to him. I still make my jokes though. Thats the time where I can be myself, and make people happy. I want to make people happy. I've never liked it when they're upset. Everytime Theo got upset, I'd tell him a funny story and that usually worked. I wonder if Mommy would have liked my jokes?

That person will turn into a beast, and he’ll only be able to watch, unable to do anything. Until one night, when Harbinger of Doom, the girl in his previous team, suddenly sent Andy a list of 60 hilarious jokes. Andy had been puzzled and nonchalant reading them at first, but as time went on, the jokes began to affect him, and he loosened up. Soon, Andy found himself laughing, and before he realized it, he calmed down and fell asleep. Surprisingly, it happened the next day and the day after. Before Andy realized it, he found himself expecting the jokes more and more. After all, they helped him calm down and forget his sorrow, even if it was for a brief moment.

And they all laughed. Hahaha, very funny, so funny I can't stop laughing :-| . Wow, I've never heard a better joke in my entire life. *insert eye roll*. Lowkey hospital jokes were really lame. And doctors don't fucking know how to joke, most of them have absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever. "Your child is fine. Ha, you wish, April fool's, your child only has two days to live." What is the name of a lab coat with that lame humor?

Zain said casually as if he just did not do something stupid. Varun burst out laughing and everyone at the table looked at him. "Shit. Sorry" Varun said while controlling his laugh but could not and looking at him even Zain burst out laughing making me roll my eyes. How come these creatures are my friends? I asked myself looking at them who were laughing like hyenas. "Are you two okay?" I heard sweet voice coming from Corgi and I looked at her who was looking concerned staring at my best friends. I said amidst the laughter that escaped from my mouth. Jones yelled. “Why do you find this funny? How is this even funny? Why would I lie about something as serious as this….. did you even check the news? I know that you and Briella may be on bad terms right now in the end Junia, she is your sister! Where is your sympathy at?” I heard him say and despite everything that he said, that still didn’t stop the laughter that erupted from my lips. “Why do I find this funny? Because it is funny”
