Actually Funny Jokes Novels & Stories

I'm all for going to a comedy show, but when I'm the only person who is there to laugh, it's way less funny and 10 times more awkward. Frankly, I didn't really find any of his jokes that funny either... and he told a LOT of jokes. But, I did my best to fake believable laughs, and I even attempted a joke or two of my own. By the time I arrived at the top floor though, I can honestly say I felt mentally drained. I felt as though my quota for faking nice today was already met, and that's not really the way I should feel as I moved to sit across from Dakota.

Then he laughs. Not a polite chuckle. A full, head-thrown-back, shoulders-shaking, I-can’t-breathe laugh that echoes off the walls like a madman who just heard the best joke of his life. I sit there clutching my fake notes, smile frozen, brain buffering. His craziness is pretty serious.

I rolled his eyes, "...Laugh all you want it's true" She couldn't breathe after laughing so hard her back looked like it hurt a bit, Just then the nurse came by and saw her laughing so hard and asked, "What's so funny dear?" James and Em expected, but Fi, seriously, you. "Aw, Justin, come on. It's just a joke." She said. "Hilarious." James butted in. "Hilarious is also an understatement." Em interrupted him. "Yeah, right, and look how hard I am laughing. Hahaha." Justin said sarcastically. "Justin, what if the same joke was cracked on James?" Fiona suggested it. "Hahaha!! well, that would have been beyond hilarious, right Jamie?" Justin was laughing now. "Give me a hi-fy for that, Justin." Em and Justin gave each other Hy FY.

“In the middle of a dark forest, a man and a woman have sex. After about 15 minutes, the man finally gets up and says, ‘Damn, I wish I had a flashlight!’ The woman replies, ‘Me too. A chuckle broke out while he tickled my neck, armpits, and waist. “If you don’t stop being childish, I will surely kill you.” “Would you like me to tell you another joke?” “Oh, no!” I blurted out. “I’ll pee in my gown if you don’t stop your dirty jokes.”

The hosts were setting the mood, and slowly they got involved in the fun. "Hahaha!! Have you heard it?" Tanvi said while trying to control her laughter. "The restaurant joke was hilarious." Riaan gave a Colgate ad smile while his eyes were gleaming. "Ah!!! This flames joke." They held their cheeks while laughing. After a while, "Hum do Hamara Ek policy!!" Riaan held his stomach while giggling hard. Tanvi is rolling off while chuckling hard. "Omg!! The jet airways joke... I can't control it anymore." Tanvi and Riaan both burst out snickering.

(ARIELLE'S POV) A couple of shots later, the air was more loose around us and we were both laughing at a silly joke he’d made. I couldn’t remember what it was but I laughed so hard my insides began to hurt. “I think my intestines just exploded inside,” I joked, and we broke into another round of laughter. I looked around half consciously, to be sure we weren’t disturbing the other customers. “Think we’re too loud?” I whispered to Jared.

I hiccup, and it feels funny in my throat, sounds so weird to me that it makes me giggle again. I like being drunk, I’m lighter and more fun; it makes me think Jake is sex worthy and that’s pretty hilarious. I don’t find men a turn on at all, so that’s even funnier … Well, except Jake! He’s the exception to the rule in that everything he does is panty warming and alluring, even standing staring at me as he is now. I’m hit with a strange sound. It’s me. I’m laughing; I guess I find myself amusing and I sound so detached and not here.
