Kisah ini diambil secara dokumenter dari seorang pemuda bernama Fadil Raksa Dinata—biasa disapa Fadil. Usianya baru 23 tahun. Ia mahasiswa baru yang mengambil Fakultas Psikologi di tanah Pasundan—Jawa Barat. Hidupnya sederhana, lahir dari keluarga biasa di sebuah desa terpencil yang masih diselimuti kabut pagi dan cerita-cerita lama. Namun, sejak kecil Fadil sudah merasa ada yang “aneh” dalam dirinya. Ia terlalu sensitif terhadap hal-hal yang tak bisa dijelaskan oleh logika. Kadang ia melihat, mendengar, bahkan merasakan sesuatu yang orang lain tidak. Mungkin itu sebabnya ia memilih belajar psikologi—untuk memahami pikirannya sendiri. Tapi semakin dalam ia mempelajari manusia, semakin samar batas antara akal dan hal gaib yang mengitarinya. Dan semua berawal… dari sebuah tongkrongan malam yang tak pernah benar-benar biasa.
