Are They Banning Books 소설 & 이야기

That's the last thing he would expect from his fellows who have bestowed their lives to protect the land. "I don't believe it!" "Oh! Don't be silly! Not that it has to be a traitor in every case! There were some forbidden books in the old library where you could get this information easily!"Alan exclaims in annoyance, "You people make scenes too dramatic." "Were! Those books were burnt long ago since they possessed a threat!"Ario interrupts. But that doesn't shake up Ailann even a bit. Rather, he smiles and says, "What if it was just a show to cover our eyes?"

I swallowed the tablets with trembling hands, the water tasting strangely metallic. When we returned to the living room, she hesitated. “There’s more.” Of course there was. She spoke carefully. “Your first book… has been removed from stores.” I blinked. “Come again?” “Retailers have pulled it from their shelves. Physical copies and online listings. They said they cannot be associated with the current controversy.” My chest tightened sharply. That book had been my beginning. My voice. My proof that I existed beyond noise. I imagined empty shelves where my words once stood.

Clara realized she’d leaned in closer, totally drawn in. “That’s why the practice of Blood Magic has been banned and the Elders took great measures to cease it from existence, pulling out books that contain information about it and concealing them away for the fear that someone might get curious and study it. But of course, they cannot perfectly hide its existence. There are always some who know it existed. Every old, wise Hiestorans and other ancients creatures and spirits,” Willow said. “So the Elders just disallowed them? How do you do that to an entire group of people?”

Crimson collected the book from her hand. "Your hands not reaching your ears means that you are still very young and not allowed to start reading love stories so from now you are only allowed to read books like Cinderella, frozen, Moana, Alex in the Wonderland and other Disney stories apart from that, no William Shakespeare books until your hands can reach your ears okay." Crimson said. "But why? I don't want to read that, they are so boring." Pearl pouted.

Dante doesn’t look like the type of guy to be embarrassed by a grown woman’s excitement over books. “You’re… welcome…” He lifted his fist to his mouth and coughed into it. “But there’s a small catch…” His words came like rain on my parade. My lips pursed into a thin line, and all the happiness evaporated from me in an instant. ‘Of course there is. I knew this was too good to be true. Especially since it’s coming from him.’ “What is it?” I sighed. My mind was already preparing for the worst. “Under no condition should any of these books leave the library, and the kids aren’t permitted access to this place either.”

Alicia screamed with a sigh. "You do know you are not permitted to read that book in your hands right?" Bryan asked. "It is forbidden in the palace for a witch to read the spell book." "I… I didn't know about that, I was just so bored and decided to read a book. I came into the Library, and that was the first book that caught my attention when I came here. I didn't know it was forbidden to read it, I meant no harm whatsoever," Alicia said with her face to the ground.

eliz explained. "So you mean it's not some forbidden book? Does that mean there aren't any strict rules in the library?" I felt trembling when Eliz explained this. I even followed Eliz's steps to stand beside him "Oh, maybe you just need not destroy the books that are there. And if you have trouble understanding the contents of the book, you don't have to read it. We are not allowed to take books out of the library. Gado will be very angry if we do that," replied Eliz

They light up. Actually light up. Like humor is bouncing around inside them. “Am I right?” I ask. “Or at least close?” He shakes his head slowly. “Not even remotely.” “Fine,” I say. “Educate me. What’s a book ban?” He sighs dramatically, but his eyes are still sparkling. “It’s when a responsible citizen decides to stop buying books for a while,” he explains, “because their bank account is begging for mercy.” “Oh,” I say slowly, glancing at the stack in his arms.

Ever since what happened on Mon's 'execution', even though no one remembered a thing, Doctor Bai had asked the king to stop any form of literature in the kingdom. From books to tiny strips of paper as long as it contains a letter or two were burned down to ashes, allowing to legalize it only for the castle's own use. "My books! Please don't do this to my store, sire!" cried an old woman to a soldier who was gathering all the books that she was selling in an open area, preparing to get them burned. She was doing her best to stop them from ransacking her store.

That those things don’t happen anymore. And yet every time there was a festival at the capital, there were always casualties. “I don’t know much about the war,” I say. “I only know bits and pieces.” Yohan flips another page, “This sort of book was banned even for Alphas.” “Can I read it?” Yohan didn’t give me the book.
