I stopped walking abruptly and she nearly collided with my chest. For a moment we stood there, inches apart. “You truly have no idea what I can do,” I said quietly. Her throat moved as she swallowed, but once again, she didn’t look away. That defiance again, it stirred something dangerous inside me. Something my wolf seemed to enjoy far too much. I forced myself to keep walking. The large doors of the throne hall came into view and two guards stood on either side. They pushed the doors open the moment they saw me approaching. Warm light spilled out from the hall and the scent of powerful wolves filled the air. Five figures stood near the center of the room, each one radiating authority.

The girl who had initially questioned Thorian's familiarity now stepped forward, her voice trembling but filled with curiosity, "Who are you? How did you do that?" Thorian, his expression still stern, didn't immediately respond. He released Nathan's hand, which now hung limp and swollen by his side, and straightened his collar. His dark eyes, as mysterious as ever, finally shifted away from the girl who had questioned him and found Ashley's gaze. Their eyes met, and for a moment, a silent understanding passed between them. "I am Thorian," he finally replied to the girl, his voice calm and measured, though his eyes still held a hint of danger. "And that's all you need to know."

"Like I'm a pawn for you to control?! I didn't sign up for this costume party to be an errand boy! I have my own reasons for being here, and I'm no attack mage! “I’m one of the best sources. I used to babysit him and my little brother Scott.” Shikoba quickly typed on her phone, and Julie furrowed her brow. “It’s nice to meet you. I’m Shikoba Thorn.” The computer voice greeted. “I’m mute, so unless you know ASL, this will be the only way I can communicate.” “Oh…” Julie blinked. “Not a problem. And you said your last name is Thorn? That’s so amusing. Did you know that’s his wolf’s name? The Goddess certainly likes her puns.”

This chibi dark elf girl was in actuality the spirit given form of the large supercomputer right next to her or the AI of the supercomputer. Before this child stood a globe, similar to the one that Kirou saw during his character creation. After touching a point on the globe, a display appeared before the child. On this screen was Kirou's reaction after seeing the 'update' to his class advancement quest and the child had a cheeky grin on her face as she saw Kirou doing his best to control his facial expression.

Zen, as Chatura gathered from other students, was as they described. He was like a lamb surrounded by wolves. She knew how Zen recruited the Gorski heir. The cyborg had eyes almost everywhere, and Chatura prepared a double when she knew how the cyborg would do his background checks on her.

It’s nice to meet you,” they say, and Zanthe dips her head slightly in acknowledgment, unable to communicate directly. Moments later, Tobias’s eyes return to their usual light brown as Thor recedes. Then, to my surprise, Tobias speaks again. “May I touch you, please, Zanthe?” I freeze. That’s… a weird request. Wolves don’t usually let others touch them like that unless they’re mates or family. It’s way too intimate. But, to my shock, Zanthe nods, even lowering her head slightly to make it easier for him to reach.

I was scared there for a second. Thor tosses Erik in the air, exclaiming how strong and brave Erik is and what a great warrior he will be. He continues going on about some nonsense about getting him fitted for a mail shirt and his first spear when my Aunt Tethys walks into the room. “Hi, theia (aunt),” I greet her. “Hello,” she greets me with a huge smile. “Oh, Thor, you’re back!’ “Hello, Tethys,” he calls to her as Erik climbs onto his father’s head. “Been holding down the fort for me while I’ve been gone?”
