Xander collapsed onto the couch, sobbing uncontrollably. “What kind of nightmare is this? What did our family ever do to deserve this?” Mr. Xander sat frozen in his wheelchair, so furious that his mouth twisted to one side. Saliva dribbled down from his trembling lips. He looked pitiful, completely defeated. Chris said nothing. They had believed that handing Shane over would be enough to protect the family. No one had expected him to escape. Back in his room, Chris called Layla and told her everything—Shane’s disappearance and the guards now stationed outside their home.

CHAPTER 30 Amber's POV "Huh? What's going on?" Diana asked, staring at the trio in astonishment. "How could he escape? Come to think of it...isn't it suspicious that the footage of the time he escaped was erased from the surveillance camera." Brandon stated, his hands trailing his jaw line. Ohh! "We heard you'd be coming home this time, but we never expected to meet under these circumstances!" "I arrived in Centrolis yesterday." Chris explained, "I planned to attend the event but overslept. When I woke up, I saw Toph's missed call and learned about what happened!" He reassured them while holding the gun, "Don't worry. I'll definitely save Grandma Janine!"

But because Chris had no malice and was genuinely sincere with people, everyone couldn't really confront him and had to let him be. "Now that we're done talking, can you go and accompany your little starlet?" Liam was pushing Chris out, and he could tell that much. "Liam, aren't you curious why Lana's family went abroad?" The humans ran out of their cells but cringed when they saw Natalie and the others. “ Zirocco, we need a portal to the UN embassy.” Natalie said. A spinning blue portal appeared in the middle of the room as Chris turned back to human form and joined Natalie and Jane.

But at that time, a big truck passed by, so he felt worried for the girl, so he also crossed, but unexpectedly, he was run over and quickly died. ONE day later... Lian finally got back to Manila safely with the help of a truck that she rode just to get back to Manila. And finally she is safe from a terrible nightmare in her life. She thought she couldn't get out of Chris's house alive, but she figured out a way. When Chris said that she would come with it, she agreed to the young man's offer. And that's when she made a plan to escape the young man. She took Chris's trust and when she got the chance she went out of the house even in dangerous weather.

And not just our deaths, but the ones of our loved ones too. For now, she did not order us to do anything. She only let us go. We also had no right or freedom to mention anything about her. Believe me, I was not myself. I felt like a totally different person when I reached China. Walking into the huge mansion and seeing Chris walk towards me almost caused me to burst into tears. But I had to hold my tears in. The plan was this, I should tell everyone who had been looking for me after my prisonbreak that I had escaped and gone to some luxurious island to rest my mind.

Everyone chanted as they noted Mage 001’s mood after Chris’s comment. “It is not your fault…. I… I am not strong enough like chief to cover for you if we make a mistake.” Mage 001 stuttered as he confessed. “Do you think I am dead?” Chris chuckled before he waved his hand to dismiss the discussion and leaned forward as he continued in a serious voice “I heard on my way back that some of the prisoners escaped and I know where they are hiding.” “What does this have to do with our mission, Night Lord ?” one of the more daring juniors asked as he scratched the back of his head.

Evan stood up and brushed the dirt off of himself and looked at Brandon, but before he could say anything the door closed, and Brandon and Chris had walked on. Brandon, stopped at another cell, three cells down from Evans. He repeated the same process of removing the bindings from Chris, his arm, and throwing him into the cell. This time Chris was able to catch himself, preventing himself from falling forward. He turned around to face Brandon to say something to him, but he was already gone with the door closed.
