Christmas Morning “Mommy!” Hailey hisses, shaking my shoulder. “Is Quinton awake?” I grumbled, not wanting to open my eyes yet. “Mama!” I felt little hands tapping my face. “Mama, up! Santa!” Landon says loudly. That’s right. It’s Christmas morning. We were up so late last night putting pieces of Hailey’s new doll house together, and setting up Landon’s new toddler roller coaster track around the living room that I forgot to set my alarm.

The Kerstmans had been gone for a few days, and to Mrs. Kerstman’s surprise, the place hadn’t burned down without her there. In fact, Christmas Wishes was flowing better than ever with Molly’s expert guidance keeping the shop up and running. With a free reign, Molly was selling more trees and ornaments than ever.

I was grateful for this but still felt ashamed for keeping some secrets. "I know who JG is" I blurted. She froze, her hands stilling on mine. Ever so slowly, she dropped her mug and faced me completely. I could see the different emotions running through her eyes. She felt sad, angry and most of all hurt. At this point, I deserved anything she did. "I see" she said, picking her mug once again. "He's the leader of the group who invaded Lana's Christmas party. His real name is Joel Gustav and we went to school together" I said in a strained voice.

Luna and Phillip set out to discover the talisman, excited by the news. They came into a gang of trolls blocking their route as they traveled through the difficult mountain passes. The trolls were notorious for their hot tempers and love of combat, and they attacked Phillip and Luna without warning. The struggle was long and arduous, but Luna and Phillip triumphed, their wounds gradually mending as they resumed their trip.
