I cry for the decade I lost, for the fucking game I’ve been a fool for, and for Colt, the man who finally, truly, broke me.
“He told me,” I sob into Rhysand’s shirt. “He told me everything.”
Rhysand’s grip tightens, his hand sliding up to cradle the back of my head, shielding me from the world. “I’m sorry, Rain,” he whispers, his voice steady and patient.
I don’t know how long I cry for but by the time I’m done, I find myself on Rhysand’s bed. He draws back slowly, wiping my cheeks with his thumbs before letting me go. He pushes a large shirt into my hands.
