It doesn’t. Normally, I fall asleep easily, but tonight the situation makes it impossible. For over five minutes, I lie there struggling, trying every trick I know to drift off. But nothing works. Then Raven’s low voice breaks the silence behind me. “What did you think about my suggestion earlier?” I stay still, pretending to be asleep, even though curiosity burns inside me.
