Draya said sadly. “I said stop the car!” The vehicle stopped abruptly and I hopped out of the car. The broken trees were smeared with the potential liquid called blood. My heart skipped a beat as I walked out onto the road and observed skid marks on the asphalt. I followed it slowly my chest rise up and down as small specks of blood lead the way. I paused at the edge of the treeline where a pool of blood soaked the earth. I bit back a cry of horror at the sight of mangled rain deer bodies wrapped around the metal of a small car.

He didn't let go until the deer stopped struggling. Drake ate his fill, then curled up beside the carcass, feeling a sense of satisfaction for the first time in days. He lay there for a while, just enjoying the peace of the woods. But as the night wore on, he started to feel the weight of his loss again. He missed Zara so much, and he didn't know if he would ever be able to find her.

But I shook my head, put the truck into gear, and went east. I made it about ten feet before it happened. A deer—a doe—leapt out of the underbrush and darted across the road mere feet in front of the truck. I gasped and slammed on the brakes, tires screeching. The deer froze and stared at the truck. White puffs of air formed around her flaring nostrils.

And like I usually do when she brings up the discussion, I smile and walk away. “Guys, look at what we caught today” one of the guys Devin said excitedly as they dragged in a big deer caught during their hunting trip. “You guys should definitely not drag that thing inside here with all that blood dripping everywhere, leave it by the door and we’ll roast it and have it with a cup of beer”. “That sounds as a good idea” Harry agreed excitedly I felt contended and satisfied to be finally part of a functional family despite not being biologically related.

Randu gave the drink back. Burdak came back down, he would again fill the trough for their next trip. Burdak only waited five minutes to walk, until he found a forest deer. Fat deer and absolutely delicious. Usually, he is only full when he eats a whole deer, but now he will share it with his wife.

The road was lined with tall giant trees on both sides of the dusty road and I left a trail of dust as I sped down the narrow road. I was deep in thought thinking about my family and my discussion with the rest of my group the previous night that I didn't notice a deer heading straight for my truck with full speed. It was too late when I saw it and we collided with hits horns shattering the wind shield. I got down from the truck to see if the deer is still alive and I was shocked to see that it's throat had been ripped off and half of its face has decayed it was trying to get up even with it's broken limbs. I covered my nose because of the awful smell coming from it and went back to the truc

I continue to search until I finally come across a small deer and the best part was that it was drinking from the freshwater steam. I let Cara take more control. I am extremely weak, like Scarlett. I don't know how long we were passed out for, but all the blood that I took from the Rogue King has gone. I scan the area and find the deer that Scarlett had seen; it doesn't take long before I find it still standing at the freshwater stream but I have a bad feeling run through me, so I scan the area again and again until I finally find it, lying in wait are two figures crouched by two different trees.

I have so much more respect for him now. Another flash and he's crouched in some tall grass, watching a deer drinking from a river. As fast as lightning he is upon it, chomping down hard on it's neck! I hear the strangled gurgling of the animal while it's legs flail about until it is no more. Gulp! I never want to be hunted by Tank or by Anyone really!
