They watched in silence for a few minutes, marveling at the beauty of the creatures. Suddenly, one of the deer looked up and spotted them. It took off, and the others followed in a flurry of movement. Darell suggested they try to follow them, to see if they could catch up. The three of them set off at a run, darting through the trees and laughing uncontrollably. They were all out of breath by the time they caught up to the deer, but they didn't care. They were caught up in the moment, filled with the joy of the adventure.

The people who reported them were locals who pulled them off the road.”
