The lamps were turned on as soon as we hit the road and the way didn’t seem to look that shabby now. Jason winked at me. “She knows we have arrived.” He said and started walking a bit faster. A second owl, then a third appeared, silently making lazy circles above the branches and the rambling house. A lone wolf, quite large, with a shaggy black coat and glittering eyes, loped out of the trees into the clearing.
