Iniquitous Want

Iniquitous Want

My smile widened as I mindlessly took off my jacket setting it down on the leather seat. I clung to Dalton chatting with him as Enzo thought it was the time for the like of the day as he called it. It was one of those stupid habits that we had going on as kids and it kinda stuck with us and Enzo was the one with the shittiest and corniest jokes. I braced myself to hear one of his dad jokes, Dalton was holding in his laugh at the eager look on his brother's face already. "What do you call a joke without a punchline?"

He said and the other guys chuckled. The mockery has been non-stop. Every time we meet up, there always has to be at least one joke or parody in reference to Sophia. "Would you guys ever get tired of toasting me?" Huh?" I asked. "Never." Fred answered. "We love you too much." "I agree." Hendrix added. "Speaking of Sophia... Uh, has she finally told you where she is?" I refused to answer which made them all roar with laughter. "This is a running joke and it needs to stop. I mean it!"

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

Doctor, I'm Too Sensitive!

Ethan said indignantly, "I am all frogs' tendons!" Maddy was amused by Ethan and both of them felt a little relaxed. "Maddy, honestly, do you think I'm suitable for doing stand-up comedy?" Ethan asked. "No!" Maddy answered without thinking. "Then why are you laughing so happily? I heard of faking climax, but not faking laughter in a comedy show!" Ethan smirked. "I'm laughing because tonight is indeed the happiest time for me in a long while."

Tangled With The Other Brother

Tangled With The Other Brother

"Alright, fine. If you won't smile, I'll have to tell you my top-tier jokes. What do you call a fake noodle?" Elena had blinked, her stern frown flickering for a split second. "What?" "An impasta." She had stared at me in absolute, stony silence for three whole seconds. "That is terrible. That is the worst joke I've ever heard." "Okay, okay, tough crowd," I had grinned, my dark eyes sparkling with wicked delight as I stroked her cheek. "Why don't scientists trust atoms?" "Jaxx, please stop…" "Because they make up everything."

Great storyline! Love the characters... Laughed, cried, got angry... some parts were too drawn out others too short. A few grammatical errors, but overall a truly great read!!! Definitely would recommend it to others!

I really love this book. Huge character maturity over time. Unique story for this platform. You will fall in love with the characters and may even gain a new "book boyfriend" out of the read. The book is not short, but that makes it better to follow the roller-coaster love story. Great job, author!

“Don’t you mean fangtastic?” “I most assuredly do not.” His face was now stern. I rolled my eyes. “OK, got it. Dick jokes are OK but vampire jokes are not. Touchy much?” His mouth was drawn in a thin line “Funny jokes are acceptable. Others should be met with the derision they deserve.” There was a pregnant pause and all silly jokes and puns rushed out of my head, so I settled for rolling my eyes at him as I jumped off the bar stool instead. “Do you have anyone you need to let know you’ll be away?” he asked

Hell's King

Hell's King

He grabbed a piece of cake. "Here's another one," Ferdinand spoke vehemently. "What do you call a lamb covered in chocolate?" Lucius scrunched his nose and squinted his eyes, "I don't know...Choco-lamb?". "A candy baaa." Ferdinand snorted at his joke. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he slightly tilted his head backward, trying to stop himself from laughing. I can never understand these types of jokes. "Good one." Lucius once again pretended to laugh, "I need to go; I have something to take care of." He said and waved farewell at the father and his daughter.

Ruin Me Mr CEO

Ruin Me Mr CEO

It felt good—light, like a breath of fresh air in this park where the wind rustled the leaves around us. We sat on the bench after that, side by side, our shoulders almost touching. He started telling these silly jokes—the kind that weren’t even funny, just dry and ridiculous, like “Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field.” Corny as hell. But I laughed anyway, hard and genuine, because the real joke was how bad they were, how he delivered them with that straight face like he thought they were gold. It warmed me up inside, chasing away the chill for a bit.

Coming outside, I see Japhia laughing and clenching his stomach. “Something funny, Japhia?” My brow rises furiously. He takes a while before he stops laughing, “No, but you should have seen your face when I said we were talking about your sex life as if that was such a bad thing.” “What’s wrong with you? Everything can’t always be a joke!” Tears peak at the corner of his eyes, “Not everything, just the funny things.”

good story line, great characters, but needed more background and buildup of villains. also guy needed to explain all the girls better. would have been better if he had more temptation when she was 18 to 20.

The Lacrosse Player Next Door

The Lacrosse Player Next Door

He wiggled his arms wildly like a frog doing the Macarena, then threw himself into a dramatic hop that nearly sent him crashing into a shelf. I laugh so hard, to the extent my stomach began to hurt. Then he hopped back over and struck a dramatic pose—like a frog prince. "Kiss the frog. See if I turn into someone who actually deserves you," he said with a ridiculous grin. I snorted again, playfully hitting his chest. "You’re so ridiculous," I mumbled, shaking my head. "At least I made you smile, didn’t I?" he whispered, trying to sound all suave and sexy.
