What came when the effect wore off was suffocating. I left Sunny with the neighbor and I thought I could see him from afar, you know, reminisce about old times. Talk to him. Straight vodka. I was talking softly with Marcus when Tony passed him a plate with two lines of coke. Marcus inhaled a line quickly and pinched his nose. He sniffed his nose, looked at me and he offered the plate and waited for my response. I should have said no, but my stupid ass didn’t and I did the line. My nose burned crazy hot, then I sniffed again hoping it would subside soon. I closed my eyes and pinched my nose mimicking Marcus. Marcus rubbed my back while he passed the plate back.

Time to face things head on and see where I stood. Frank poured tequila into a little shot glass that boasted being from Albuquerque, New Mexico and handed it to me. “Cheers, duplex-mate.” We clinked glasses and tossed our heads back. The alcohol burned like fire. I grimaced and hit my chest, trying to drag in a breath. Wow. Did you and the guy who’s put an extra bounce in your step break up?” Frank leaned against the porch railing, resting his empty shot glass on his belly like a little table.

“Coco can probably melt chocolate as well as any fireplace.” She lifts the cherry to her mouth and eats it, very pleased with her plan. She licks excess chocolate from her fingers, reaching for a strawberry next as Niall leans forward to dunk his slice of orange. “Well, sure,” Auden murmurs, watching as Niall lifts the dripping piece of orange from the chocolate and dribbles a trail of brown liquid all over his shirt as he tilts his head back to drop it in his mouth. “But only if Coco can be convinced to fire on demand. And you can’t tell me that he always obeys-”

Coloured Yellow and elegantly finished with white cement. I could only think of what a safecracker I was asking for help. I entered first with Frank following me closely. The porch smelled of Vanilla and it was a war inside not to rush the plants to sniff them. I knocked softly and awaited a reply. I turned back to see McCoy chatting with his pals and a beer bottle in his hands. How did he even smuggle that here? He noticed me staring and pointed his beer high in my direction and winked.
