Hecate Cabin Novels & Stories

The happy act ended. “Alright,” I said. “Play that game. If you won’t tell me, then I’ll just give you what you want. Then maybe you’ll stop acting so damn suspicious.” Her head whipped toward me. Her face was pale. “What?” “Dante,” I said in a heavy voice. “He has a cabin. In the Blackridge Mountains. No street number. You drive up the old forestry road, keep going until the very end. Only house there.” Her eyes widened. She wasn’t just listening. She was taking it in, word by word. Her lips moved, whispering the directions to herself. Memorizing.

“The eyes?” “The soul.” Jarek pinched the bridge of his nose. “Please don’t tell people that.” Number four lost spectacularly. Marcus blamed the jockey. We spent the rest of the races teasing him mercilessly. By the time the sun started dipping lower, we climbed back into the truck and headed farther into the mountains. And then I saw the cabin. “Oh…” The word escaped before I could stop it. Nestled among towering pines, the cabin overlooked a lake that reflected the evening sky like glass. A wraparound porch faced the mountains, and smoke curled lazily from a stone chimney.

"If you walk into that cage, she won't just study you. She’ll drain you until there’s nothing left." "He's right, of course," Hecate said, her voice smooth and cold as ice. She took a step back, positioning herself safely behind her four massive, fake wolves. Her thumb remained pressed firmly against the silver remote. "But a real leader knows how to count the cost, Ms. Reyes. Fifty floors of solid steel. Hundreds of true wolves. One press of this button, and Vane Industries becomes a giant graveyard."

In case we came across any other wolves or lycans My men will keep watch. Her heat should last a few days. I’ll be by her side the entire time. I’ll do whatever I can to keep her comfortable and safe. We turn heading deeper into the forest. The cabin comes into view as we head up a mountain. It’s a two-story log cabin. A large wrap around porch with smoke coming from the chimney comes into view. I make it up the porch stairs to see Hansel and Leena. The door opens as I give a nod of thanks to them both.

Straight ahead was a huge lake, and a long deck that was lit up by candlelight, at the very end lay a daybed, a roof sat over it. To the right was rich thick forestry and to the left of the drive was a small modern wooden cabin. It had huge glass windows overlooking the water, a deck sat right outside the place on an angle so the tinted windows were just a little less exposed. It almost felt magical, it was certainly beautiful enough to be magical. “Wow drake this is—“ I tell him, clearing my throat where a lump had formed “It’s beautiful. What is it? Where are we?” He presses the button on the little remote and the gates shut, he turns back to me and throws me the remote, on the keychain hu

“Thank you for seeing us so quickly.” Hecate looked Declan up and down disdainfully. “I’ve heard about you, too. So, let me take a look at you both and see the issue. Come inside, everyone. It’s larger than it looks.” She wasn’t kidding. The house felt three times as big as it looked outside. I wondered if the magic was responsible. Maybe she was able to project an image of a smaller house to discourage attention. She took us to a healing room with crystals hanging on huge windows, which looked onto a lake. Even with Declan so nearby, her presence along with Caleb’s made me feel serene. Her cat rubbed up against my leg.

Collecting her mate. I didn't look back. The cabin Ryker had arranged was on the eastern edge of the compound, tucked between the tree line and the healing center with a covered path connecting the two. Small but clean, with a porch that looked out at the forest and a front door that locked from the inside. Someone had left fresh linens on the bed and a jug of water on the kitchen table and a bundle of dried sage on the windowsill. Helena stepped inside and swept the rooms with her usual efficiency, cataloging exits and sight lines before she let herself relax.

The sound had imprinted itself into her skull, echoing until she thought she might go mad. The road finally curved into a clearing. The cabin loomed like something torn from an old, half forgotten nightmare. Weather beaten wood, peeling paint, and a sagging porch spoke of years of neglect. The surrounding pines whispered with the wind, their shadows clawing at the windows. “This is it,” Chloe said softly, her own unease clear in her voice. Tessa stared at the cabin, dread seeping into her bones. “It looks… haunted.” Chloe forced a nervous laugh. “It’s just old. My aunt doesn’t come here anymore. That’s why it’s perfect. No one will think to look.”

The man nods slowly. After maintaining the eye contact with him for some while, Heaven proceeds to leave. The cabin once stood along a clear, blue lake, a thick forest at its rear, and surrounded by mountains. It’s beautiful around her, but Heaven has no time to appreciate the view as she runs along the lake with Kaicha in her arms. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Zeedar had been spying on Ziason, who had secretly entered another pack. He trailed him from bar to pleasure house, watching as the man drowned himself in alcohol and men.

It seems as though they’ve been left in a whole new world all by themselves. “Here we are guys, welcome to the Lakewood Cabin,” Stacie announced, smile fading as she tried to detect an approving look on their faces in the moon lit night.
