I listened to his taunt and couldn't help but laugh. I'm puzzled about how he accomplishes this. He constantly tells me a hilarious jokes when I'm feeling down, and it instantly lifts my spirits. I mocked him, saying, " you had planned to tell this joke after staying up all night." "No, Mrs. Woods, I had a wonderfully restful night's sleep last night, the best I've ever had." As his eyes scanned my body, I had the impression that I would avoid sunburn from the heat of the sun, but if he continued to do so, my face would undoubtedly heat up once more.

I asked, confused. He shrugged. “Uhh us, asking why we couldn’t sleep, and we couldn’t even answer. Pftt.” He shook his head, still trying to contain the laughter. I looked at him even more weirdly. Gosh, we looked stupid here already. I didn’t know what came to me but I ended up laughing with him, too. “Oh myg gosh, now we look stupid,” I said, shaking my head. “Wow, seriously, though why can’t you sleep? Aren’t you tired?” he asked. The awkwardness in the air suddenly subsided. It was as if the laughter that we shared was the key to remove the awkwardness.

Okay, that would be too much. "I do. Strengthens me, it also helps me sleep." A pause. "If you can't sleep, I can get two glasses. That is if you want to indulge." I said and he burst out laughing. I replayed the sentence in my head and found nothing I had just said that funny. "Did I say something funny?"

I went on this trip with my friend and we shared a hotel room but different beds. After a night out, we went back to sleep and we were drunk so we said fuck it and just slept in underwear. In the morning, once I wake up, he looks at me and laughs. “what?” I asked “bro you was moaning in your sleep and took your underwear off”

She giggled and kissed my chest. "That was hilarious," I chuckled. "But shocking for me. Anyway, can you hold me like this while I sleep?" She asked with a yawn coming out of her mouth. "You just woke up from an eight-hour sleep," I said in awe. "No, I woke up an hour ago from an eight-hour sleep. I feel tired again," She said while yawning again, and I chuckled; maybe traveling gave her the best sleep of her life, or maybe we made out a lot that she was tired already.

"What?" "Nothing, it's just that you always say that to me." "Really?" I nod. "You always made fun of how much I talked in my sleep and how much of a bad sleeper I am." "Well, you are. I mean, just look at the space you left for me and still you were on top of me." I gave him a playful slap and a small smile. “Hungry?" "Actually, I have to go. I have something I need to take care of."

Damnit, not living with my parents is making me real weak at making excuses. “Then come in.” He grabs my forearm and pulls me in. “I’m not really looking for se-” I had only begun my sentence before he climbed into bed and fell dead asleep. I cover my mouth with my hand, trying to control both my embarrassment and laughter. What the fuck just happened? I laugh silently, my hand still clamped over my mouth. At least I wasn’t scared anymore. I had forgotten that I even had such a dream, looking at him. How does he sleep so much? Do demons really need to sleep a lot maybe?

Dawn Turner Sleep. Sleep is underrated. Everyone always talks about how fun staying up late is and how night time is the best time to have fun. I understand this but hear me out; have you ever been so sleep deprived for days, almost on the verge of breaking down with how exhausted you were both mentally and physically, and then had one long and good night of sleep? It’s like watching a sad movie for 2 hours while building up sadness and anxiety in you and then witnessing a happy ending that takes all the sadness away. It’s freeing.
