If Only I Had Told Her Novels & Stories

Had we not moved away early, we would be six feet under by now.” Frustrated, Peter grabbed my dad’s hand and placed it on my leg. It was cold and stiff, and my dad immediately yanked his hand back, startled. “What’s wrong with her? Why is she so cold?” Peter’s eyes were burning with anger. “Tess is dead. She’s never coming back.” My mother nearly collapsed, and when she glanced at me, she turned away quickly, tears starting to fall. “Isn’t she supposed to be tough as nails? How dare she die before me?”

“Tell me.” I could. I could tel⁠l her about the way she makes the noise i‍n my h‍ead quie⁠t, how⁠ she’s t‍urned a life full of control into something that feels like pea‌ce. But instea⁠d, I show her.‍

I told her. "Oh. But if you knew about it, and I was learning new tricks for you, that would be Ok?" she bridled. "I didn't say that. I just said that behind my back was the worse. If you wanted to try something new, I'd want to talk about it." I told her as I got dressed. "I can't believe we're having this conversation!"

I muttered on purpose, pulling the covers over me. “Wait, what?” She yelled out. Should I tell her, he said just for me? Ohh she’s so killing me tomorrow

She said and I left her *present* I sighed and regreting all the things I told her. She doesn't know anything about this and why am I getting mad at her? I'll talk to her tomorrow and I hope everything will be okay in time

It was just a shame that I didn't tell her, but I didn't have any regrets. If I had told her, I probably would still be back there, and that was the last thing I wanted.

And if I can remember, I don't think I have told her before that she now has access to her money, I thought placing my hand on my chin while I kept on wondering and checking my previous memories with her. I was to tell her but her attitude lately didn't allow me to, if only she had not been Moody lately, I would have told her about it but because of her mood, I didn't cause I was busy looking for the best opportunity to tell her about it maybe it could even cheer her up at least. I told her I couldn’t believe I had actually said that out loud. It was something I never planned to share with anyone. I just kept it buried and tried to deal with it on my own like I always did. I didn’t mean to say it, but she somehow got it out of me, it slipped and once it did, I couldn’t take it back. I was only ten, but I wasn’t stupid. I noticed everything and felt everything. I tried to give her grace and I told myself maybe she was just lonely. Maybe she was trying to feel okay again.

"I will be back… I promise" "You fucking had a plan…" she whimpered lightly. "You had a plan all these while" she repeated her own words as if trying to make something very meaningful about it. "I couldn't just tell you, It was hard…" he sighed. "But if I knew that your reaction would be like this, I would have told you sooner. I'm sorry"

“I should have told you… the moment that I realized.” Her eyes trembled. Tears welled in her eyes, and a soft, almost silent whimper escaped her. The sound gripped my heart and squeezed. I couldn’t hold it back any longer, even if the truth would skewer me in the face of what I knew would have to happen. I had to tell her. I had to tell her first before anyone else knew. “You’re my mate.”
